Being set in Cairngorms National Park makes The Homestead the perfect location for nature loves. The largest national park in the UK, Cairngorms is known for its wildlife, mountains, undulating hills and ancient woodland. All of this makes it a favourite for those who enjoy the great outdoors, with numerous activities on offer including walking, cycling, mountain biking, climbing, and canoeing. In the winter you can even enjoy some skiing at one of the three ski centres in Cairngorms.
A 20-minute drive to the south west of The Homestead is the resort town of Aviemore. Popular for its skiing and various winter sports, it also has several fine eateries to choose from. If you don't mind venturing a bit further, then the medieval city of Inverness is less than an hour's drive. There are also a number of fine pubs and restaurants nearby.
