Lovingly designed to represent the essence of Scottish contemporary chic, with high-end amenities, it’s a tranquil cabin, surrounded by wildlife and sheep, sleeping up to two adults in a king-size bed.
An hour from Aberdeen by car, MidPark is ideal for a romantic couple’s retreat. There can be no better place to enjoy the expansive, dark skies and perhaps even spot the Northern Lights, than from the wood-burning hot tub. You’ll also find an outdoor bar and pizza oven, while inside, the open-plan living area features a stylish kitchen, for keen chefs to cook up a storm with the fabulous local ingredients on offer. Enjoy dining together at the table inside or even al fresco on the (heated) deck, MidPark is designed for any time of year.
Everything has been considered for your comfort and luxury, from the wood burning stove, to the Wi-Fi connection, luxury linens and white fluffy towels. With authentic, well-crafted designer furniture and fittings from natural materials, and an understated, confident aesthetic, MidPark is a delight.
The 700-acre estate is a lovingly tended ecosystem, where the owners use regenerative methods to find harmony between humans, livestock, land and wildlife. Explore the stunning permaculture walled garden, historic rock gardens, meadows, woodland, ponds and arboretums. With the river running through the heart of the estate, you’ll be delighted with the range of activities on offer from salmon fishing to paddle boarding and wild swimming.
After a day of exploring, you’ll be ready to sit down on the sofa for a glass of single malt in front of the fire and a long read of one of the carefully curated books.
Beyond the estate, the Banffshire coast is a short drive away. Known as “Cornwall without the crowds”, find quaint historic fishing villages and stunning sandy beaches.
