Enjoy the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors from the comfort and luxury of this wonderful converted wheelhouse.
This stunning property is flanked by the breathtaking scenery of the Yorkshire Moors and has been renovated to an extremely high standard. Modern and bright, much of its original character remains. Flag stone floors, exposed stone walls and wooden double-height ceilings crisscrossed with timber are found in abundance throughout.
Chefs will fall in love with the immaculate kitchen. This well-equipped space is light and contemporary with a glorious timber ceiling and large kitchen island, great for snacking, sipping and chatting. Four sets of patio doors bring in pools of natural light and offer views to the lovely garden from the large wooden dining table.
Perhaps take coffee and pastries to the outdoor seating area where guests can enjoy the fresh air and splendid views across the moors. Or gather for a pre-dinner cocktail while watching the sunset behind ancient stone walls.
After dinner, head to the double height sitting room where handsome leather sofas wait to be sunk into. Get cosy in front of the wood burning fire and enjoy a film on the smart TV or an evening of board games. A magnificent wooden staircase sweeps up the side of the room ready to be climbed when eyelids start to droop.
At the top of the stairs is the beautiful master bedroom with a large ensuite. Wake to the sound of birdsong, ensconced in crisp linens and cosy duvets, in this grand wooden sleigh-style bed. The further two bedrooms are handily situated on the ground floor, ideal for those with mobility issues, and they share a Jack and Jill bathroom with a luxurious freestanding bath tub. Relax in the bubbles before hopping into bed, awake refreshed and ready for another relaxing day.
There is lots to discover in the local area, especially for those who like to get amongst nature. Hikers will find lovely walks suitable for all abilities and for cyclists there are plenty of trails to explore. The nearest village is lovely Swainby, just a mile away, it has two pubs, a shop and the popular Rusty Bike cafe.
