This perfect Peak District holiday home offers large groups a luxurious getaway in the heart of some of Britain’s most wonderful countryside. Nestled between the rugged Peaks to the north and the Derbyshire Dales to the south, The Gables offers plenty of space, lots of comfort, and a chance for you and your loved ones to relax and unwind in peace.
Sat in the charming village of Peak Forest, The Gables comfortably sleeps 17 people (plus two infants). This big country house has plenty of fantastic touches that are designed to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. With underfloor heating, big comfy bath tubs, gorgeous gardens, and a large elegant lounge, you’re sure to love your time at The Gables.
Six comfortable bedrooms are on offer, from the large master with its four poster bed and ensuite walk-in wet room shower with underfloor heating, to a variety of twin and three person rooms making the property perfect for families, or groups of friends.
The large living room has a heart-warming open fireplace, meaning you have somewhere to sit and get toasty and warm after a day out exploring the magnificent countryside that surrounds you. You can sit back with a book on your own, or enjoy the company of your friends long into the evening in these super-comfy sofas and chairs. Come summer, when the sun is shining, why not open up the French doors and let the breeze come flowing in?
The big kitchen is well equipped with everything you’ll need to cook up a storm for your big group. There is a six-hob triple oven, a microwave, two fridges, a separate freezer, as well as a dishwasher so no one has to spend time washing up. The farmhouse-style kitchen also feels lovely and homely with its exposed oak beams and stone fireplace.
The Gables also has a wonderful garden, where the kids can run around for hours. There’s also a play frame, mini football nets, and plenty of other things to do in the adjoining field from basketball nets to tennis courts. If the weather is poor and you have to stay inside then there’s a well equipped games room meaning you can enjoy a game of pool or darts in the warmth and comfort of the house.
