Explore the cliff paths, bays and beaches of the Cornish coastline before retreating back to this luxurious property for some well-earned rest and relaxation.

The Cow Shed is a lovely 20th century property just a few minutes' walk from the pretty Portreath Beach. Inside, guests discover a modern and calming space where they can unwind and feel immediately at home.

Wake up in one of two beautiful bedrooms, in a roomy king sized bed snuggled amongst white linens and cosy duvets and blankets. Both bedrooms have Juliet-style balconies, so pull back the curtains, fling open the doors and slide back into bed to take in the views across the neighbouring fields, hear the birdsong at the break of day and breathe in the fresh country air.

Enjoy the peace and indulge in a decent lie-in, before starting the day with a delicious breakfast. The kitchen is large, modern and superbly equipped for creating breakfast spreads which roll past midday. There is a handy breakfast bar, for when meals need to be quick and easy, and a large dining table which sits adjacent to bi-fold doors which pull open giving access to the spacious terrace.

On warm days, guests will want to spend plenty of time catching rays and relaxing on the terrace which is well-furnished with sun loungers and patio furniture. Eat dinner alfresco and watch the sun set over the fields before finishing the evening star-spotting from the luxury of the hot tub.

On colder evenings, cuddle up with a glass of wine in front of the wood-burning fire. Sink into the large, cosy sofas and armchairs and perhaps take in a movie or get competitive over games of Scrabble. During the day, a glass atrium floods the room with sunshine while at night it gives views of the night sky. There is a further set of doors which can be thrown open, letting the outside in and giving access to the glamorous terrace.

While The Cow Shed is in itself a marvellous place to while-away the hours, the local area has plenty to explore and discover. Pack a picnic and wander the coastal path, the hike from Smugglers Cove is a must-do for the stunning and romantic sunsets.

A two mile coastal stroll takes guests into Porthtowan where they will find some charming places to refresh themselves, try The Blue Bar on the beach or head to The Unicorn for a pint and a great Sunday roast.
