This refurbished shipping container has found a truly special place to dock, on the grounds of a 150 acre beef and sheep farm in Cilcain, North Wales. Here you’ll find yourself surrounded by lush countryside and endless peace and tranquility. With a stylish interior and beautiful wood clad exterior, it’s stunning both inside and out. And the outdoor bath takes in the best of those breathtaking views - just add bubbles.
A private path leads you to the final landing place of this now retired shipping container. Fully refurbished in 2019 it has innovative design and style by the ship load. And the outdoor cladding makes it a truly beautiful retreat.
The open plan layout has a comfortable corner sofa that converts into a bed. The bedding is all cleverly housed within and can be made up in minutes. With soft linen and beautiful textiles, it’s a gloriously cosy spot. And with large dual aspect windows, it’s the ideal place to take in the best of those views with your morning coffee.
The contemporary kitchen has all you could need, with a microwave, gas hob, fridge-freezer and sink. Delve into the sleek cupboards and you’ll discover that the thoughtful owners have provided the all important teas and coffee. And nestled next to the kitchen is a dining table and two chairs - perfect for a romantic supper.
On the practicalities side, this clever cabin has its own sparkling wet room, flushing toilet, heating (with easy to control thermostat) and even bluetooth speakers and Wifi.
Outside there is a decked terrace with further outdoor seating and a BBQ. But the talking point has to be the wonderfully large outdoor bath (that comes complete with lavender bubble bath, naturally). Surrounded by wildflowers, ever-changing skies and fabulous views, it’s simply glorious.
Life on the farm buzzes all around - with cows and sheep in the surrounding fields, there’s always something to see. The owners are happy to show you around and introduce you to some of the animals - including their resident Sheltland pony, Alma. And the natural wildlife is just as important, with bees and birds being encouraged with bee houses and bird feeders. Feel free to top up any of the bird feeders, to keep the birds happy, during your stay.
Although relaxing is encouraged, there is plenty to get out to see and do should the mood take you. With the nearest pub, the White Horse Inn, serving up food and ales just a mile away, that could be a great place to start (plus any guests get a 10% discount from their food bill - bonus). Further afield, the stunning North Wales coastline is just 30 minutes away and Snowdon National Park is under an hour away. And for those wanting to indulge in a bit of retail therapy, then the pretty town of Chester is 30 minutes from your door.

Wow, what an incredible place this is. We have loved our stay here, its so quiet and peaceful. You really have thought of everything.
