Constructed from tin and timber, just a stone's throw from the sea, salt and shingle of Freshwater Bay, this characterful coastal shack makes a charming spot to enjoy the lovely beaches of the Isle of Wight. Guests will be enchanted from the moment they arrive at the shabby chic shack with its port hole windows and pretty terrace.
Step directly into the dining area with its star-patterned floor tiles and farmhouse-style dining table. A glass roof ensures the room is filled with light on sunny days but guests can enjoy the drama of all the elements from the warm and dry comfort of the dining room. Enjoy sunny breakfasts munching pastries and sipping coffee, or romantic late nights gazing at the stars above while plotting the next day's adventures.
From the dining area, move directly into the living room, with its vaulted ceiling giving a spacious feel to the wood-floored and panelled room. A lovely old map hangs on the wall in the living space, where guests can get comfy on the pretty light blue sofa and the wood and rattan bergere style chair.
Situated to the side of the living area is the wooden kitchen which has all the appliances required to create marvellous meals and simple snacks. A cute breakfast bar gives guests space to sit and chat with the cook, or even help out with a bit of peeling and chopping. Grab the wine, pour a couple of glasses and make the most of this sociable area.
At bedtime, the cute double room has pretty feature wallpaper, wooden panels and blinds and a large dresser. There is a further sleeping area, which youngsters will love, with pretty bunk beds, whitewashed wooden walls and plentiful storage space.
The Cabin has a lovely outdoor decked area where guests find outdoor dining furniture and fragrant coastal planting. The area is completely child-proof, making a great space to enjoy after tiring days on the beach.
Nearby, there are miles of spectacular coastline to wander on foot and many caves, beaches and rock pools to explore. During the Summer, the area enjoys a weekly visit from The Travelling Tavern, a double decker bar. And on Fridays, grab fresh pizza from the Wightwood Pizza Van.

Leave a reviewThis cabin is so beautiful, it is well thought out, comfortable and cosy. You can tell the love and care that has been put into it and we felt really lucky to be able to stay. Sam is a brilliant host, the cabin was spotless and our kids absolutely loved it. It was like being in an Enid Blyton adventure. We wholeheartedly recommend The Cabin.
