Charming and tranquil, private and deceptively spacious, Lymore Orchard is a pleasingly designed all timber chalet-style space in its own private green setting. This property is available as a self-catered cottage for individual travellers and couples looking to spend time in Hampshire. Containing everything you could need for a mini-break just fifteen minutes' walk from the coast, Lymore Orchard is the ultimate escape from urban life, a place to truly unwind, relax, and enjoy the satisfying rhythms of rural life.
The home itself has been renovated to create a homely yet minimalist space. The main living area is open plan, combining a chalet-type kitchen featuring full culinary amenities with an all-purpose living room. An ultra-comfortable sofa awaits, adjacent to a dedicated dining area, while houseplants and bare wooden walls and flooring create a pared back aesthetic that emphasises space, light and function. Off the central room you'll find a separate bedroom, with a large and comfortable bed, a room which feels snug in the colder winter months, and airy and light filled in the summer. There's a television in the bedroom, too, making for a cosy area to snuggle up and watch a movie in the evening.
The real charm of Lymore Orchard comes from its verdant and rural setting, a beautifully maintained garden with mature fruit trees that you're welcome to help yourself too. As well as outdoor dining furniture and a firepit, you'll find a barbecue, making cooking and eating outside a real delight. There really is nothing quite like retuning from a long day exploring the coast, opening a locally brewed beer, and preparing a meal for the grill with local meat or seafood, as you watch the sun set in your own small paradise. Whether you're looking for a romantic long weekend or a comfortable and well-designed base from which to explore one of the UK's most charming coastal destinations, Lymore Orchard is a delightful place to stay. Guests also have access to two beautiful bikes, which they can use as they wish throughout their stay. Helmets are provided.
Despite the feeling of remoteness and tranquillity at Lymore Orchard, guests will be delighted to learn that the chalet-style house is only a fifteen minute stroll from the charming village of Milford-on-Sea, or a meandering twenty minutes if you take the scenic route through the fields. Milford is abundant in coastal charm, with great restaurants, authentic independent pubs and wonderful shops. Rays Italian is a real favourite, while The Cave and The Smugglers are also great places to eat. For higher-end seafood, check out Verveine, and for fish and chips after spending all day on the beach, head to Mr Pinks. Guests will also want to try the La Perle restaurant, which is by far the best place in the village to eat!

Leave a reviewThis was the most beautiful, peaceful weekend getaway place imaginable - the cottage was stunning and so comfortable and cosy, we loved every detail and wish we could have stayed longer. The welcome hamper was lovely and we made good use of the hot chocolate Velvetiser too! Diz was an incredible host and really made us feel so at home. We didn't have a car but the location was perfect for walking into the village and to the beach too, we also took the bikes for a spin and cycled into the New Forest. We are already thinking about coming back in the summer, this is such a special place!

Such a lovely place, Diz's attention to detail was brilliant, the fire pit was lovely even in Feb sitting outside in the lovely garden setting was great and the hot tub was good fun. The village was so friendly and everyone we met we're great. A perfect get away in a beautiful place.

Stayed for 2 nights last weekend and could not have been more happy with this place!! Everything was clean! Cupboards and fridge filled of everything we could need and a lovely hamper left for us! Host was super attentive and looked after us so well without being in anyway intrusive and the cottage itself and the orchard its surrounded by are just beyond beautiful! Currently getting leave sorted from work so we can stay again in July! Thank you so much!!

What a fabulous little jewel of a cottage in the beautiful New Forest. We spent two idyllic weeks in Milford-on-Sea, exploring the quintessentially English country lanes and trails around the cottage, walking to the village and local pubs, lazing around the pretty garden by the fire pit and taking road trips all over - even as far as Brighton. The location is perfect for creating a full and fascinating itinerary and the cottage itself is so comfy and charming that spending a day in is also a joy. Extremely comfortable bed and sofa, all the necessary kitchen and household amenities, engaged and available hosts - this place really has everything you could possibly need for a fantastic getaway. We have every intention of returning - even though we live in New Zealand - it’s just that good. Thank you Diz for the easy communication and suggestions on making our trip even more special. I cannot recommend this gem of a cottage more highly.

Had an amazing stay at the Orchard. Everything from the comfy bed, to amazing garden space. From the lovely finishing touches (think amazing lampshades and gold spoons!) to the wood fire heated hot tub. A lovely break away for couples in the middle of a calm quiet village close enough for a walk on the sea front and a visit to the local market town. We will so be coming back-what a wonderful WONDERFUL place.

Fantastic place. Diz is a wonderful host and the welcome hamper and goodies were much appreciated- she even had treats and a toy for the dog! The place is amazing; it’s well equipped and cozy but still with plenty of room. The new fire powered bath in the garden was excellent and worth the small fee on top- it was heated on arrival with extra wood and dressing gowns provided- we used it both nights. Very easy to use. The enclosed garden is very spacious and perfect for the dog. Only a 20min walk to pubs and restaurants and the beach is just slightly further down the road. Everything is within easy access with many dog friendly places. We loved our stay and highly recommend it. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was the perfect location! The cabin has everything you need, it's the perfect place for a relaxing holiday. The lovely town of Milford on Sea is a very close walk (recommend the scenic route!) and has plenty of places to eat and drink. Diz was an amazing host, offering privacy but also help when we asked. Would highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay at Lymore Orchard. Diz and Adam were wonderful guests and were on hand if we needed anything at all. The welcome hamper was delicious and the reviews before us all speak for themselves- it really is a beautiful stay! The bed was so comfy and we enjoyed spending a night by the firepit and napping in the hanging teepee. Our dog loved the garden along with the lovely walks by the sea in Milford on Sea. The kitchen had every amenity you would need and the living room was soo cosy! We made some wonderful memories at Lymore Orchard and we will be back!

Incredible hosts in a perfect cozy getaway! My wife & I stayed here for our babymoon just several weeks before our daughter is due - and we also brought along our dog for his first holiday. The accommodation was perfect for us, with a lovely garden space for Hamish to run around in! Only a 5 minute drive into the village with ample pubs, shops, restaurants & takeaways, as well as the lovely coast and scenic walks. Our hosts were nothing short of amazing. Very attentive from the moment we booked right up until (and beyond) checkout! They catered to our every need and even when there was an unexpected powercut in the area late at night, they came round promptly with candles for us - offering further assistance if needed. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lymore Orchard and will hopefully be returning in the future. Thanks so much, Diz & Adam!

This place is simply beautiful. It has everything you could ever want and more! The fire pit area was lovely for the evenings and our cavapoo Otis loved exploring the garden. The lodge was spacious, with a very comfy bed. The tipi in the garden was a lovely surprise too. Lymore orchard is in the perfect location, just a short walk to Milford on sea. Lymore Orchard is a beautiful small cottage in a quiet surrounding. We spent a relaxing time there. Liz and Adam are always supporting us through our stays. We have got 2 small sausage dogs and worrying the gaps in front gate, Liz and Adam put a fox fence straight away for us. It made us very comfortable. The welcome hamper was personalized, high quality and well thought. Kitchen utensils are more than minimum, well selected. Bed was really comfy. Bathroom was well stocked and cleaned. We love the choice of shampoo, body wash and had soap. The garden was spacious, totally secured for pet owners, tranquil and a good layout. We recommend Lymore Orchard for stressfully relaxing stay.

This place is amazing and totally exceeded our expectations! It’s a high end, beautifully furnished and accessorised cabin with everything you could possibly need and more! The bed was so comfortable and the toiletries and selection of teas and coffees were outstanding! What can I say, absolutely LOVED staying at The Lymore Orchard, an absolute gem of a place! Booked last minute to get away and relax together with my dog, and it turned out to be one of the most calming of escapes. Diz and Adam have designed the cottage immaculately, with a rustic charm that makes you feel at one with nature and with luxurious details that makes you feel very comfortable. The garden is landscaped beautifully and you have full privacy, leaving you with a very peaceful vibe. Lots of lovely birds singing and hardly no traffic at all. My own car got a good rest too for the two days I stayed since there’s brilliant walks all around (going down to the sea (Milford) is just a 15-20 min gentle stroll across open fields). The list of greatness for this place is long. Thanks to Diz and Adam for having us, can’t wait to come back very soon!

I don't know where to even start trying to explain how incredible this stay was but I'll give it a go. EVERYTHING about Diz and Adams place was amazing and everything you would hope for and more. They have designed the house to a very high standard. The garden area is perfect, our dogs loved it. The house is gorgeous and so cozy. The bed is literally the best bed I have ever slept in so much so I have been asking Diz where she got it all from! For us, it was the little personal touches that really set this place apart from the rest. The hamper, fresh bread, washing powder, coffee pods, hot chocolate and even ear plugs!! The kitchen had everything you would have in your own home and more! I write this review as someone who frequently goes on UK breaks. If you're browsing past this place, stop. You've found THE place!
