Within easy walking distance of the literary town of Hay-on-Wye, nestled under bright clear skies, Starry Meadow Glamping is a completely unique high-end glamping location with bell-tents accommodating groups of up to six campers in comfortable and luxurious conditions. Offering a festival-style vibe throughout the year, and boasting a range of catering options from on-site market stalls, Starry Meadows Glamping is the ultimate outdoor experience for families looking for an unusual and alternative destination.
Everything about Starry Meadows Glamping has been designed with comfort, style and fun in mind, from the multiple games and entertainment options for all ages to the carpeted bell tents themselves. Each tent easily fits six, with full-size real beds to sleep on, and with advance notice, two further children can be put up in each, while the communal shower and toilet blocks are well designed and always clean.
Outside, kids and adults run around fields decorated with flags and bunting, while the evening brings firepits, great food, and a series of evening entertainment options. From the first cup of real coffee in the morning, accompanied by freshly baked croissants and orange juice, to the final slice of pizza by the embers of the fire in the starry evening, all of the food at Starry Meadows Glamping is a treat. Multiple festival-style food stalls vie for competition, with BBQ, noodles and pizza just some of the many options which generally vary day-to-day, keeping mealtimes exciting and diverse. Alternatively, bring your own grill, and prepare delicious meals for your family to enjoy under the stars.
Regardless of what your children are interested in, there is bound to be the ideal activities for them, between pony trekking, archery and craft sessions all offered on site, as well as a series of other ad hoc games, adventures and courses. With the glamping site situated a stone's through from the town of Hay, there are also all of the amenities of the Brecon Beacons National Park within easy proximity. Go fell-running up the hills, or hike at your own pace along the valley, with wild-swimming in the Wye, which also boasts a range of beaches, and canoeing courses. There is also Hay Bluff, ideal for lengthy walks, and of course Hay-on-Wye town itself, with its endless charm, beautiful architecture, and world-famous bookshops. Choose between multiple cafes and bars, plus the renowned ice cream parlour. Further afield, Cantref Adventure Farm can be reached in half an hour, and is always popular with the whole family.
