Combining the restorative powers of this fabulous glamping destination with a handful of judicious touches to ensure comfort, Snowdonia Glamping Barns is a pair of beautifully converted units in a former agricultural building in Snowdonia. With each space offering everything that a family of up to four could need for a rugged yet comfortable time away, Snowdonia Glamping Barns is the ultimate getaway for any group which enjoys lengthy hikes, no internet, outdoor cooking and total immersion in some of the most dramatic and picturesque landscapes in Britain.
Each of the two spaces offers a super-king sized bed and a bunk bed, as well as a modern fitted bathroom with high pressure hot water. The rooms are kept snug by a wood-burning stove, with additional cosiness coming from the underfloor heating. Thrillingly, all of the cooking is done outside within the wonderfully designed covered outdoor kitchen. Whether you make use of the grilling facilities to cook up a selection of local meat and game, or use the regular gas burner, food just tastes better when you've prepared it yourself in an outdoor space. After a long day spent walking through the plunging hillsides and wild forests, there really is nothing quite like cooking up a feast for your loved ones outdoors, sipping on a local ale.
When the weather's not so nice, be sure to stay toasty by the fire in the comfy lounge, spending evenings chatting or plotting the next day's activities. And before bed, why not jump in the free standing bath tub for a relaxing, luxurious soak?
Managing to be cosy without being poky, rustic without being uncomfortable, and remote without being isolated, the Snowdonia Glamping Barns are a one of a kind opportunity to get away from the city without having to compromise on your accommodation. Being unplugged from the distractions and constant connectivity of the modern world allows guests to regulate their natural sleeping rhythms and fall back in love with the natural world.
Despite the sense of total remove from urban life, there is a wide array of activities in the immediate area, suiting every level of outdoorsiness from robust and experienced enthusiast to first time explorer. From heading into the old mines in the area to surfing, mountain biking to climbing, there are endless sports and activities to try out in the surrounding region, and your hosts will be happy to set you up with a course or lesson led by an experienced expert, or simply point you in the right direction and set you on your way. For the less outdoors pursuits minded, there are multiple castles, gardens, historic restaurants, stately homes and art galleries within easy driving distance, so celebrating the culture and architecture of the area is easy starting out at the Snowdonia Glamping Barns.
