These two marvellous glamping domes both offer a comfy, cosy glamping dome at Argoed Barns. Both domes are luxurious, with huge windows that let the outside in, providing you with spectacular scenic views. Sit on your bed taking in the view, or spend your time relaxing outside in the fresh air with your partner. At night you’ll want to enjoy the starry skies, and you’ll see just why the Brecon Beacons has justly earned its Dark Sky Reserve status.
An ideal spot for a romantic break for two, both domes are finished with a comfy brass bed, that features crisp cotton bedding on a goose down topper. There’s also a cracking wood burning stove to ensure that you remain nice and toasty on the colder days of the year. And the insulated floors in both domes are scattered with rugs and animal skins which enhance the decadent feel and give the space plenty of character. Each space is nicely lit with solar powered lanterns, which create a romantic mood in the evenings.
At dinner times, each dome has a cute dining table with space for two, whilst the well-equipped kitchens have everything you need to prepare delicious meals during your stay. This is a truly luxurious glamping experience, and the kitchens even have their own sinks, so you don’t have to make a dash outside to do the washing up! If you don’t want to spend your time cooking, go for a stroll to the nearby Felinfach Griffin. This multi-award winning gastro pub is just a mile away along the country lane and offers fabulous food and an amazing atmosphere.
Spend time with your nose in a good book, or play a board or card game with your partner whilst dinner cooks. You may also wish to pore over a map or guide book to plan your itinerary for the next day. There’s even a wind-up radio so that you can listen to the weather forecast or your favourite station.
The bathroom facilities are provided just a few feet from your dome, and they feature a very smart self-composting loo, wash basin and gas powered shower using water from the farm’s own bore hole. In addition to towels and luxury toiletries, you’re also provided with comfy bathrobes and clogs which are ideal for the short trip back to the dome after a nice hot shower. Everything here at Seren Bach is off grid so you can rest that little bit easier during your stay.
After a day out and about you’ll want to rest and unwind in the wood powered hot tub. Here you can soak in the warm water with your loved one and enjoy a nice glass of bubbly whilst taking in the view. You can then stay cosy by the fire pit and toast marshmallows on the open flame before retiring for a great night’s sleep.
Seren Bach and Seren Mawr are nicely located in the Brecon Beacons, meaning you have plenty of access to some marvellous walking and cycling routes. You can go for a number of hikes that take you past mountains, rivers, lakes, hills, waterfalls and more stunning scenery. Other actives you can enjoy include fishing, clay pigeon shooting, archery, sailing, horse riding, and gliding, so there really is something for everyone.
