Secret Meadows Gypsy's Rest is a vintage gypsy caravan and shepherd's hut in the heart of rural Suffolk
Delve deep into the heart of rural Suffolk and you’ll find this quirky gypsy caravan hidden amongst the woodland. With a fanciful charm and a folkish spirit, it is a beautiful home in a magical location. Lush wildflower meadows adorn the pastoral scenes and are joined by ancient trees, rolling fields and rare wildlife species. With mesmerising landscapes rolling far off into the distance, you can leave your stresses behind and embrace Mother Nature.
The quaint Gypsy Caravan is set within the grounds of White House Farm and is part of a 115 acre natural conservation park. With a rich mauve finish and golden yellow wheels, it is an ornate, off-the-grid retreat that has a careful attention to detail. Vintage furnishings imbue a romantic-feel and are paired with luxury home comforts and private toilet and shower facilities. Candles and oil lanterns throw shadows inside, while starry skies gleam down for a night beside the fire.
The Gypsy Caravan accommodation has room for up to four and includes the colourful wagon and a neighbouring shepherd’s hut. The traditional wooden cabin is home to the main living space and includes an antique dining table and a plush, sink-in sofa. Natural wood floorboards add a rustic homely finish and are joined by a sleek country kitchen which has a wood-fired range and running water. A secret bedroom can also be found hidden inside and has a sumptuous double bed in a hand-carved wooden cabin.
The main double bedroom is in the unique gypsy caravan and has a comfy mattress above a bespoke storage area. The curved ceiling makes it a cosy and relaxing space that has characterful furnishings and an old-world finish. Sit out on the steps and soak up the wild, natural scenes and you’ll find that this charming little place fulfils your glamping dreams.
When you’re ready to head out on a voyage of discovery, there is plenty to see and do in the local area. The bustling market towns of Woodbridge and Framlingham are within driving distance, along with the picturesque Suffolk coast and its secluded beaches. Closer to home, the wildlife site is brimming with an intense natural beauty and has plenty of interesting fauna and flora to uncover. You can collect eggs from the hens or feed the British White Cattle, before filling your picnic hamper with goods from the pantry. Books and games can also be found in the wagon, while fun woodland activities can be booked for the kids.
