Park View Farmhouse is a newly renovated holiday home in the North Devon countryside that is close to the area’s famous golden beaches. The farmhouse sleeps up to eight guests across four bedrooms and is complete with a hot tub for that added bit of luxury.
It has taken a year to carefully change the property into a self-catering holiday home that combines charm and character with modern day living. On the ground floor the spacious living room has high ceilings, wood flooring, and comfy sofas for those cosy evenings in front of the large TV. The fully equipped classic farmhouse kitchen has a fridge, dishwasher, electric cooker and a range, as well as a coffee machine. This leads into a dining room with table and chairs for up to eight people, while there is a separate utility room with a fridge/freezer, washing machine, and accompanying WC.
Upstairs are the four bedrooms, which benefit from countryside views. The first is a double with decorative fireplace and en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. There are a further two king-size rooms and then the children's’ room with bunk beds. These share the family bathroom with a roll top bath and separate walk-in shower.
Outside is the private and enclosed garden, which can be accessed by the main front door, but also from the utility room and dining room. This is home to the hot tub, as well as a patio with barbecue and hand-built oak table for al fresco dining. Elsewhere, the lawn is great for garden games or simply lying around in the sunshine when the weather's warm.
Park View Farmhouse is located on the edge of the pretty village of Kentisbury. It is also within easy reach of Exmoor National Park and the North Devon coastline. The village itself has a pub, but just beyond are the beaches of Woolacombe, Croyde, and Saunton - which are famed for water sports such as surfing and kayaking. For those who like walking there is the South West Coast Path, as well as all that Exmoor has to offer; such as Landacre Bridge and an array of wildlife to spot.
