Major House

Set in the heart of the charming town of Newport on the Pembrokeshire coast, Major House is a beautifully renovated home, perfect for families or groups of friends. Tucked away down a quiet street and just a 10-minute stroll from the sea, it’s ideally located for a peaceful seaside escape. Inside, you’ll find a luxurious interior which combines contemporary style with seaside charm. Spend your days exploring Newport, relaxing at the beach or striding off along the coast path. Enjoy family dinners in the open-plan kitchen and dining room, which can be opened out onto the patio. As evening draws in, retreat to one of the two sitting rooms and snuggle up in front of the wood-burning stove.

Inside, you’ll find plenty of room for socialising and entertaining with the spacious, open-plan kitchen and dining area and several sitting rooms. There’s a skylight above the dining table, flooding the space with natural light, and big glass doors can be opened out onto the patio, extending the room outdoors. There’s a breakfast bar in the kitchen so everyone can get stuck in with preparing dinner or you can grab a quick bite to eat before heading out to explore.

The larger sitting room is arranged around a wood-burning stove, perfect for cosy evenings with a board game or two. The other sitting room is a relaxing space with a luxurious velvet sofa and painted a soothing blue. A lovely spot for enjoying a bit of downtime with a book.

There are four bedrooms, two doubles and two twins, each with its own character. One of the doubles has a beautiful feature wall with contemporary floral pattern wallpaper in a relaxing green. The other has a velvet bed frame and panelling in moody greys and blues. The twin rooms, one with a yellow theme and one with a blue theme, are both complete with luxury beds and bedding.

The house is hidden down a quiet street but you’ll find yourself in the heart of the town. Just round the corner, there’s the bustling Monday Market and plenty of pubs, shops and restaurants within walking distance. A gentle stroll towards the coast and you’ll be at the water’s edge in 10 minutes. The Pembrokeshire coastline is renowned for its spectacular scenery, so head off in either direction along the coastal path and you’ll be rewarded with some truly beautiful views.
