Sitting amongst lawned gardens and with views across golden corn fields, this stunning Georgian farmhouse is a wonderful mixture of classic and modern where guests will feel instantly at home. Wake to the morning birdsong, pull back the luxurious linens on the Harrison Spinks bed and head to the aptly-named Chill Out Wing for some sun salutations on the patio or a workout in the exercise room.
Shower off and refresh for the day in one of the stylish shower rooms which feature period tongue and groove panels, metro tiles and vintage-style fittings. Guests can lather in luxury toiletries and be soaked by lashings of hot water from powerful rainfall showers before wrapping themselves in large fluffy white towels.
With its range cooker, Georgian blue oak cabinets and a huge central island, the kitchen is a delightful space with all the modern conveniences required to create anything from a great coffee to a multi-course dinner. Perch at the island with an espresso, or settle into the breakfast dining area and make plans for the day.
Perhaps head to the beach at Guilane or visit Tantollen Castle or just spend the day relaxing at this splendid property. There is a large private lawned area with outdoor dining furniture and expansive shared gardens which offer a host of activities including a paddock for outdoor games, a wooded area with follies to explore and a converted shed with table football and ping pong.
Evenings can be spent enjoying lengthy dinners in the grand dining room, with seating for 22, before sipping digestifs in the sitting room. Light the open fire and watch the flames flicker whilst sinking into the Charlotte James sofas. Alternatively, steal a quiet moment amongst the leather bound volumes in the handsome library or relax on Morgan armchairs with a dram and a classic novel.
When eyelids begin to droop, head to the beautiful bedrooms. Gorgeous rugs, stylishly papered walls and period furniture pieces enhance the character of these marvellous rooms with their high ceilings, stunning sash windows and original ceiling coving.
