The Five Turrets is a Grade II-listed townhouse with a fairy-tale silhouette and contemporary interiors. Set on the edge of historic Selkirk in the magnificent Scottish Borders, it is an enchanting setting for your legendary adventures. Wander the majestic river valleys and the dramatic mountain peaks, cycling through the ancient woodlands and fishing on the Tweed. For more relaxed days, curl up indoors, soaking up the captivating views and indulging in sumptuous local food.
Inside, the townhouse is a grand but modern affair, blending 18th century features with a creative flair. Expect timeless craftsmanship and heritage shades, alongside stylish artwork and quirky, designer details. Beautiful sash windows frame Ettrick Valley views and are complimented by natural oak floorboards and splashes of vibrant hues. Look out for the handwoven tapestries and the intricate architecture, or the colourful chandeliers and patch-work armchairs.
The open-plan living area is framed by high vaulted ceilings and includes an array of comfy chill-out spots and large social spaces. Relax fireside on the deep, sink-in sofas, or head up to the mezzanine library for a quiet moment’s reflection. Kick back with a box-set or a pluck a book from the shelves, before heading down for pre-dinner drinks in the cosy piano room.
The sleek kitchen is packed with state-of-the-art mod-cons and has everything you need for preparing a delicious family dinner. Stayed here as a group of 4 couples and it was fabulous! The photos are good but the reality is even better! It was such a great space to cook, chat, relax and come together in. There is everything you need and the vibrant colour scheme and decor is really inviting. The owners are a photographer and a weaver and it's lovely to see their artistic touches throughout the building. It is also just a few minutes walk into Selkirk town centre.

Five Turrets is a beautiful unusual house to stay in, and Selkirk is a gem of a town amongst many interesting places to visit. Gethin and Carolyn have done a remarkable job and the house has everything you might need. The woven cloth everywhere is also stunning.
