The Details

This picture perfect cottage sits in the beautiful Rempstone Forest by the water’s edge near Poole harbour. From the outside the cottage is a sight to behold. Sitting amidst stunning greenery it overlooks the water and has a wonderful, old-world feel to it. And, when you step inside, the character continues everywhere you look.

Gather in the cosy lounge where a feature fireplace keeps things toasty and warm. Get comfy on the sofas with a good book and a nice warm cuppa or chat the night away here with your loved ones over a glass of wine. You also have a cosy snug with ample seating and a smart TV that’s ideal for movie nights or box set marathons.

When tummies rumble, head to the characterful kitchen, which is nicely equipped with everything you’ll need to prepare hearty feasts for your group. It features a double oven, a double fridge/freezer, a microwave and a dishwasher so no one is lumbered with the washing up. And, when dinner’s ready, serve it up in the fab dining room which features a cosy open fire and double doors that open up onto the patio and gardens.

On sunny days, you can also dine outside in the fresh sea air. Out here you’ll find a giant rustic picnic bench that overlooks the water offering a superb spot for a long, lazy summer lunch with your nearest and dearest. Also outside is a firepit where you can toast marshmallows and stay cosy and warm as the stars come out above.

And once night has fallen and eyes grow weary, the cottage has five lovely bedrooms on offer. The bedrooms continue the home’s enchanting old-world charm, each thoughtfully designed to reflect its timeless character while offering lovely views of the surrounding countryside. In the left wing, guests will find a serene king ensuite and a charming twin ensuite room, with a cot available on request for little ones. The right wing features a cosy double room, a spacious super-king with a vanity sink and another king room accompanied by two single beds - perfect for families or groups. A family bathroom with a shower over bath and a convenient ground-floor W/C complete the accommodation, ensuring comfort and classic elegance throughout.

Surrounded by the natural beauty of Rempstone Forest, Ower Quay Cottage offers a peaceful escape on the tranquil waterfront of Poole Harbour. The setting is a haven for kayakers, hikers, bird watchers and anyone who loves to immerse themselves in nature, with woodland trails and coastal paths just steps away.

Despite its wonderfully remote feel, the cottage is perfectly placed for exploring the local area - the charming towns of Poole, Bournemouth and Swanage are all within easy reach, each offering their own attractions, from sandy beaches to vibrant shops and eateries.
