The Detail...
Set just off the market town of Bridport, resting in the magnificent Dorset countryside sits Outbuildings. This 10-acre family-run (and renovated) farmstead offers a stay that is truly like no other. In the words of your hosts, your stay will be "family-run, but not family overrun", ensuring that you are well-catered to while guaranteeing a private and immersive experience.
The four studios on offer have all been renovated from scratch by the owners and showcase their flair for design while retaining that farmstead feel. Each benefits from its own private sheltered patio and you are free to enjoy the well-kept garden, take a walk around the 10-acre site, or even have a run around the rural running track. Oh, and did we mention that each booking comes with its own welcome hamper? With its rustic charm, attention to detail, and wondrous setting, you will want to return every year!
Each room of Outbuildings has been carefully decorated by the owners to provide guests with their own unique slice of Dorset, perfectly blending the rustic with the modern. The rooms are all bedecked with beautiful furniture, high quality fixtures and fittings, and the finest linens. The Cider Room, the Farrows, and the Sty each sleep up to two people. The Pressing Room houses between two and four guests (three adults or two adults and two children). They all come with their own fully equipped kitchens, beautifully decorated bathrooms, and comfortable double beds. The Pressing Room has a sofa bed also.
For those colder nights, guests can avail of their own log burning stoves, or a fire pit in The Sty. Each room comes with its own private patio, with gorgeous views of either the wondrous Dorset countryside or the inner courtyard gardens and wildlife pond.
And if you'd like to make your stay extra special, you can choose one of the fun and luxurious little extras on offer at this Dorset hideaway. Snuggle down for your own private movie night at the Hay Barn Cinema, located among straw bales and fairy lights in the old Dutch barn. Tuck into a delicious picnic of local produce under the apple trees in the orchard. Or enjoy exclusive use of the woodland hot tub for the 'bubbles in the woods' experience.
Outbuildings sit just on the outskirts of the charming market town, Bridport. Why not have a walk around the historic market or explore the Vintage Quarter? Just a short drive west and you will find yourself at Lyme Regis. Known as "The Pearl of Dorset", this picturesque port is known for its sandy beach and famous harbour wall - The Cobb.
The area also has much to offer nature lovers. The West Dorset countryside, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is replete with beautiful walks and nature hikes (your hosts will be more than happy to suggest a few routes). Nearby is the South West Coast Path, the UK's longest waymarked long-distance footpath and a National Trail. Stretching for 630 miles, you're sure to be wowed by the arresting rugged coastal views on offer.
