This collection of stunning cabins, tucked away in the Devon countryside, offer couples a perfect place to rest and unwind in peace and tranquility. Each handcrafted cabin is designed to reflect its natural surroundings, whether nestled in dappled woodland light, overlooking wide meadow views or resting beside the gentle sound of a stream. While each space offers a distinct connection to the landscape, all share a dedication to comfort, quality and design. Guests enjoy king size beds with organic linens, fully equipped kitchens, ensuite bathrooms, saunas, hot tubs, inviting outdoor areas and carefully curated books, games and artwork for a deeply relaxing retreat.
Up first is The Den, which sits above a gentle brook where woodland meets meadow, offering calm, privacy and sweeping views. Its considered placement and framing of vistas maximise natural light and connection to the landscape. Inside, earthy tones, pale woods and a wood-burning stove create warmth, while sliding glass doors open to a deck that draws the outdoors in.
Next up is The Dray, which lies hidden in old-growth ash woodland, where dappled light and birdsong set the pace. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame shifting woodland scenes, while reclaimed timber, local artwork and warm textures lend rustic elegance. Mornings might begin with coffee on the deck, followed by woodland walks or wildlife watching, and evenings by the log burner.
Last but not least is The Holt. This cabin stands at the woodland’s edge with sweeping meadow views. Slightly elevated, its wraparound deck captures moments from misty dawns to golden sunsets. Soft textures, natural materials and muted tones create a cocoon-like calm, while every detail encourages stillness - whether curled up by the fire or soaking under the stars.
All three cabins have their own wood-fired hot tub and sauna, which are always positioned allow you to relax in peace whilst soaking in your surroundings. Each hot tub is ideal for an opulent soak beneath the stars and the saunas are perfect for sweating it out in luxury.
Whichever of The Hideaways you choose, you’re perfectly placed to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside. You can also head into Exeter and wander the city’s medieval Cathedral, vibrant quayside and independent shops. If countryside is more your thing, visit the rolling Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty perfect for walking, cycling and spotting wildlife.
Just a short drive south lies the Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site stretching between Exmouth and Lyme Regis. Here you can hunt for fossils, stroll dramatic cliff-top paths or relax on sheltered beaches.
