Located in a peaceful part of North Wales and with spectacular views across to Snowdonia, Loki Hut is a great choice for couples looking to slow down the pace and reconnect with nature. This rustic shepherd’s hut is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Vale of Clwyd with just the wildlife and resident alpacas for neighbours. After a walk in Llandegla Forest or day spent exploring the historic towns of Ruthin, Denbigh and Mold, relax in the outdoor bathtub or put your feet up in front of the woodburner, soaking up the peace and quiet.
The interior of the hut has been cleverly designed to create a cosy hideaway for two while still feeling spacious and offering everything you’ll need. To one side, you’ll find the luxurious double bed next to a large window so you can sit up in the morning and sip a cup of coffee while you enjoy the view. There’s also handy storage area under the bed so you can tuck your bags and outdoor kit out of sight. The wood burner in the corner on the other side of the hut will keep you cosy on chilly evenings and there's a healthy supply of logs provided.
There’s a well equipped kitchenette where you can prepare simple meals with an induction hob, a microwave oven, sink and fridge freezer. In a separate room to the end of the hut, you’ll find the bathroom with a toilet, sink and shower. Alternatively, you could run yourself a luxurious bath in the outdoor tub and enjoy a soak while taking in the spectacular scenery. You can also sit out late into the evening around the fire pit with a mug of hot chocolate and do some stargazing thanks to the beautiful dark skies.
There’s lots of exploring to be done in the local area and plenty of flora and fauna to discover, including the friendly alpacas that live on site. You can even meet the alpacas and even take them on a walk through the surrounding countryside. Be sure to explore the area on foot, wandering down the river or strolling through the woods, taking in the peace and serenity that's all around you. Hire bikes and tackle the trails through Llandegla Forest or head to Eryri for some mountain scenery. The stunning Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is also nearby and there are several historic market towns just a short drive from the hut, including Mold, Denbigh and Ruthin.
