Sitting in county Conwy, North Wales, on the border of Snowdonia is Siôr. This charming shepherd's hut has been constructed and decorated to the highest of standards by the owner, with an emphasis on traditional Welsh craftsmanship and heritage. Here, guests can relax and enjoy the views of the distant coast, curl up around the firepit or enjoy the unspoiled views of the starry midnight sky from the warmth of the private hut tub. Sleeping a maximum of two guests, Siôr is the perfect retreat for those couples who enjoy nothing more than each other's company and the serenity that only countryside living can grant.
The hut is entered by a private gated pathway. Upon stepping through the hut's barnyard door, you are sure to be struck by its homely décor and surprisingly spacious construction. A comfy king-sized bed boasts a handmade mattress, soft linens, a feather duvet and Welsh tapestry blankets. The kitchenette is well equipped, featuring an electric induction hob, under counter fridge, toaster and a kettle - all that you need to cook a delicious meal. For indoor dining, there is an extendable dining table and bench which comfortably seats two.
To keep the hut nice and cosy on those colder eves, a powerful wood-burning stove sits on a hearth (some wood is provided) in the corner. A separate shower room contains a walk-in shower, WC, washbasin and a heated towel rail. Outside you will find a bespoke fire pit and a set of sun loungers, providing you with the perfect spot to rest up and soak up the sun, or stay cosy long into the night whilst gazing at the stars above. And then top top it off, you've also got your very own wood-fired hot tub. There really is no better spot to take in the stunning views of the North Wales coast.
There is lots to see and do in the local County Conwy area. Whether you're after long country walks, visits to medieval castles or just a day on the beach, there really is something for everyone. You will also be just a short drive from Snowdonia National Park, a mountainous region that is a firm favourite of hikers. For a slice of urban life, Chester is 45-minutes by car. This historic, Roman-founded cathedral city features some of the UK's oldest city walls, gorgeous Victorian architecture, and a vibrant shopping culture.
