Nestled beneath the Old Man of Storr and next to Storr Lochs, locations don't get more romantic than this. Loch views play second fiddle only to the stylish interiors that seamlessly combine industrial vintage with unabashed luxury. With spectacular views and elegant interiors, it’s no surprise then that Leathan also boasts five stars from Visit Scotland - the only apartment on Skye graded five stars by Visit Scotland, and one of only four in the whole of Scotland. Praise indeed.
The open-plan living and kitchen area is striking, with a rich colour scheme, industrial styling and one-off pieces, it’s a beautifully welcoming space. The lounge boasts dazzling views, leather sofas and plush carpets. Enjoy views out the window or choose a movie on the Smart TV that comes complete with full Sky TV package with movies.
The modern kitchen is dazzling - with glossy units, wooden work tops and bespoke flooring - it’s a delight to cook in. With all the mod cons you’d expect, there’s also more designer touches with a Smeg kettle and toaster. And the chalkboard art wall next to the large breakfast bar makes for a wonderful spot to enjoy breakfast or a romantic dinner.
A stylish concrete archway leads from the living room through to the Master suite. With a large handmade bed, Hungarian goose down bedding and crisp white linen it’s simply breathtaking. The unique features continue through here with remote controlled lamps that you can dim at the touch of a button.
The bathroom is sleek and sparkling with a freestanding bath taking centre stage. There is also a shower, egg pod basin and toilet, and luxurious underfloor heating.
Outside there is a loch side dining area that has the most spectacular views of The Old Man of Storr as well as the loch (which incidentally is one the best trout fishing lochs in the UK). Perfect for al-fresco dining or a spot of wildlife watching.
The local area boasts plenty of spectacular walks - head up the Old Man of Storr or take in the rock formations alongside Trotternish Ridge. Both offer up an unforgettable experience. Watch the local wildlife next to the Loch, with everything from eagles to otters, there’s plenty to see. And if you want to sample some of the excellent local food then a ten minute drive will deliver you to Portree. This charming harbourside town has plenty of pubs and restaurants to sample. Or, if you’d rather keep it simple, we can highly recommend a simple fish and chip supper next to the harbour.
