This opulent and stylish farmhouse offers groups of up to 20 guests a truly superb stay in a tranquil Devon valley. The home is marvellously furnished and offers beautiful social spaces, whilst sitting close to Exmoor National Park, within the Dark Sky Reserve. It's also located in the heart of the North Devon Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Strike out and explore your epic surroundings, or while away the days relaxing back at the farmhouse catching up with loved ones.
The opulent kitchen is the social heart of the home, offering plenty of space for you to gather together and enjoy a drink. There’s a giant kitchen island where you can sit, glass of wine in hand, as your loved one whips up a delicious feast with the state-of-the-art appliances. The kitchen is equipped with a Bertazzoni Professional Series 120cm induction top and griddle, electric double oven Range Cooker, two Bosch silent dishwashers, an integrated NEF microwave and an American Fridge Freezer which dispenses both ice and filtered water. There’s even a Tassimo coffee machine (capsules supplied), for that all-important first cup of the day.
When dinner is ready, head to the fab dining space, with huge windows that perfectly frame the amazing views, whilst flooding the space with natural light. The rustic oak dining table seats 20, which sets the scene for grand social dinners with your group. At the other end of the dining area, you’ll find some comfy armchairs and sofas, overlooking the rolling hills outside, offering a lovely place to unwind with a good book.
At the centre of the farmhouse is the striking, double-sided fireplace, which has been crafted from natural stone. Light the fire and get cosy and warm as you relax with your loved ones in peace in the cosy lounge. Here, you’ll find big, comfy sofas and a wall-mounted 55" OLED Smart TV with access to the internet, Netflix and Spotify that is ideal for movie nights or box set marathons. On the other side of the fire is yet more comfy seating, where you can curl up with a cup of tea in front of the flames.
When night falls, Lakeview Farmhouse offers six amazing bedrooms, two of which are located on the ground floor, making them perfect for people with mobility issues. All of the bedrooms have been lovingly designed and furnished, whilst some offer yet more lovely views of the rolling hills beyond. One of the bedrooms even features its own wood-burning fireplace for cosy morning lie-ins, with a wall-mounted TVs ensuring you can enjoy a movie in bed if you wish. In terms of the layout of each room, one of the ground floor rooms sleeps three people in a king size bed and a single bed, while the other sleeps two in twin beds. Upstairs, one bedroom sleeps five (with a king size bed and three singles), one sleeps four (with two king size beds), another sleeps three (with a king size and a single bed) and the last one sleeps three in three single beds.
During your stay you can explore the beautiful Longlands estate, and make use of the private hot tub experience, which is pre-bookable. The hot tub sits on its own deck above the lake and seats a total of six people, offering you and your loved ones the chance to unwind in style.
Speaking of the lake, you can also while away time wild swimming in the water or bobbing about in a boat. There’s also shallow pools for paddling, where younger ones might be able to play in the soothing water as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
If you wish to venture out and explore the local area, then there’s lots for you to see and do. Start with the scenic Lynmouth circular walk via Watersmeet and Countisbury, taking in rivers, waterfalls and coastal views. In Combe Martin, try kayaking or paddleboarding with Surfside Kayak Hire - offering family-friendly tours and stunning coastal routes. For a thrill, go coasteering in Croyde or Hele Bay with North Devon Coasteering. Prefer wheels? Explore Exmoor by mountain bike with Exmoor Adventures. Or, for breathtaking views, try hang gliding over Woolacombe Beach’s dramatic coastline.
