  The Detail...

Camel Quarry House sits above a quarry and takes in the most glorious views out over the estuary and to Padstow beyond. Designed by renowned architects McLean Quinlan, the love that has been poured into this gorgeous house is evident in every last impeccable detail. As if perfect location wasnt enough, this house delivers on every front with elegant interiors, a dazzling roof terrace, cedar hot tub and sculptural gardens designed by Chelsea flower show gold medalist, Mary Reynolds. Add to this a media room, gym and a live-in housekeeper - theres even a private mooring for a boat. Talked about by everyone from Tatler to Conde Naste this house really is the ideal designer retreat for that perfect group or family gathering.

With champagne on arrival, Camel Quarry House starts as it means to go on. The interiors are sumptuously relaxed with the open-plan living space perfectly showcasing the art of great design. Stripped oak floors, floor to ceiling windows, a handsome fireplace and large corner sofa are as welcoming as they are awe-inspiring. The views are incredible and make the perfect backdrop to the elegant dining table - the perfect venue for a celebratory meal or morning cup of coffee.

The kitchen is equally as polished with a large breakfast bar, walk-in fridge, 6 hobs, 2 oven gas cooker and 2 dishwashers. And the cooking utensils offer up everything from Le Creuset saucepans to lobster picks and oyster shucks. The helpful owners even provide a delicious array of cookbooks - although if youd like to take the stress out of cooking, the housekeeper can happily arrange a private chef.

The six double bedrooms are all ensuite - with either shower or bathrooms (with two of the bedrooms having freestanding baths). The rooms are flexible and can be arranged to sleep from 12 up to 16. All the bedrooms are simply styled with crisp white linen, stripped floors and beautiful art prints. And all come with beautiful views as standard. The ensuites are as modern as you would expect and come with fluffy towels, sarongs for the hot tub and beautiful St Kitts Herbery toiletries.

Theres also a great media room with SKY, LED Smart TV, Netflix - perfect for those wanting a little quiet time. And for the more energetic, theres a gym along with 2 SUP boards and 2 kayaks.

Outside, the large south facing terrace delivers on all your al-fresco dreams, with a comfortable seating area, large table, BBQ and fireplace. The designer sculptural garden is truly mesmerising and comes complete with a sheltered fire pit and beautiful cedar hot tub.

Location-wise, you are ideally placed for an idyllic Cornish holiday. Go shrimping on the banks of the estuary just a stones throw from the house - grilling them on the BBQ on your return. Cycle to Padstow or Wadebridge in 15 minutes (hire bikes can easily be delivered to the house) or take a stroll along the coastal path. With fabulous beaches for surfing or sandcastle making, and world-famous restaurants for foodies, its quite simply holiday perfection.
