The charming wood-fronted house is huddled on Tankerton Beach Slopes and overlooks one of Whitstable’s most iconic natural phenomena. Leading out from the beach into the distant seascape, the pebble pathway known as ‘The Street’ is a simply stunning sight to see. Stroll down the path with the waves lulling at either side of your feet and enjoy the panoramic sea views before the tide comes in.
The house itself has been lovingly restored and furnished. Stripped wood floors and a subtle colour palette give it a traditional feel of grandeur, while the sunlit rooms and breath-taking seascapes encapsulate the area’s natural splendour. Both the living and dining room have magnificent coastal aspects and are filled with classic books, games and even a baby grand piano. A traditional kitchen is also well-equipped for cooking up some of the delicious local seafood which can be enjoyed on the al fresco dining terrace or beside the toasty open fire.
Upstairs there are two double bedrooms and one twin room each with their own breath-taking beach views. Whitewashed wooden floors are paired with quality and antique pine furnishings to give them a simple and sophisticated beach house finish. A further double bedroom with a super king-size bed can also be found on the ground floor along with a modern family bathroom and additional wc for all of the rooms to share.
The town of Whitstable is just a fifteen minute stroll away and has a nostalgic seaside character with a hint of bohemian charm. Close to the historic town of Canterbury and just a short drive from London, it is a pretty coastal town where you can relax and unwind. Along with its bustling harbour and fishing culture, it has an array of unique independent shops and excellent restaurants to discover. Its expansive pebble beaches make rugged walks and traditional seaside fun a must, while its idyllic sunsets and captivating sea vistas make it a tranquil and inspirational spot.
