Hunker down and escape from the world in one of these lovely timber cabins surrounded by lush farmland and wooded copses. A grassy garden is filled with light in warm summer months and guests will love to wander outside with a morning coffee in their hands to feel the soft grass under foot and the sunny rays on their face. Each cabin has a raised deck with outdoor furniture making it the perfect spot to relax with a stack of holiday reading. Spend time listening to the birdsong and enjoying the relaxing surroundings before getting a restful night's sleep. Book Hideaway 2 and you can also enjoy your own private wood-fired hot tub.
Inside each cabin guests discover a romantic bolthole, beautifully decorated and furnished, and full of luxurious touches. The high cellings and large patio doors give the cabins a spacious, light feel, but thick curtains, a wood burner and atmospheric lighting creates a snug atmosphere on cold evenings. The cabins are open plan with exposed timber from the floor and walls to the ceiling. A king-sized bedstead with a high quality mattress and luxurious linens sits adjacent to patio doors in each cabin, which open out to the garden. Spend lazy morning lying in bed with a cup of tea and gaze out to the fields beyond.
The kitchen area of each cabin, with Belfast-stye sinks and chic slate-blue cupboards, is wonderfully well-equipped for preparing anything from barbecue meats and salads to full roast dinners. A cute table and chairs waits for delicious plates of food and bottles of wine on romantic evenings away from the stresses of the everyday.
An exquisite deep velvet sofa sits by a warming log burner and there is no better place to curl up on winter nights watching the flames dance in the fire before making the very short journey to bed. A modern toilet and separate shower room are en suite with plenty of luxurious toiletries, fluffy towels and oodles of hot water.
The cabins have everything guests need to hideaway from the world and reconnect with nature but for those looking to explore, there are four good pubs within walking distance. The Ferry Boat at North Fambridge is by the water's edge and has lots of outdoor space for children and dogs, or head to The Prince of Wales in Stow Maries for cask ales and traditional pub food by a roaring fire.
