Copper Beech Lodge offers a spacious open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area, flooded with natural light. Large French doors open directly onto the garden and woodland beyond, gently blurring the line between indoors and out while maintaining a high level of comfort and quality throughout. As evening draws in, retreat to the bedroom, close the shutters and enjoy a calm, uninterrupted night’s sleep.

Silver Birch Lodge combines cosy open-plan living with a large enclosed garden, woodland surroundings and a collection of lovely touches designed specifically for two. Inside, the space is warm and welcoming, made for unhurried time together, whether you’re cooking, relaxing or simply enjoying the slower rhythm of the countryside.

Outside, Silver Birch really comes into its own. Sink into the sheltered private hot tub in the morning or as the sun goes down, then settle into the outdoor cinema area with its comfortable day bed for a cosy film night beneath the cover. It’s a lovely spot for lingering evenings together whatever the weather, while the enclosed garden gives dogs a safe and easy space to enjoy the fresh air.

Set within a quieter corner of the woodland and surrounded by open fields, Silver Birch offers a calm and comfortable setting where there’s no need for a packed itinerary. Spend lazy mornings in the hot tub, head out on gentle walks from your door or simply enjoy having time together without a set plan.

Guests staying in either lodge can make the most of the facilities around Toppesfield Hall. Slightly further afield, the charming market town of Sudbury lies just 11 miles away, offering riverside walks along the Stour, as well as kayaking, paddle boarding and river cruises. The historic city of Colchester is 21 miles away, ideal for dining, culture and Roman history.
