Luxurious and quirky Georgian Manor House boutique B&B, just five minutes from the Peak District National Park
Located just five minutes from the Peak District National Park, hidden away in the rural village of Netherthong, you’ll find the quirky and luxurious Holmleigh Manor B&B. This beautiful, 200-year-old Georgian bed and breakfast has been refurbished into a guest house containing four opulent, yet eclectic, rooms. After a day exploring the Holme Valley and visiting some of the excellent local eateries, settle in for a cosy evening in front of the fire in the art deco lounge, enjoy a book from the library or relax in your room in a roll-top bath.
Guests can choose between a number of lovely rooms. There are two Valley View rooms with gorgeous free-standing baths and stunning scenery to soak up beyond the windows. The two Village View rooms enjoy views out over the rooftops of Netherthong and out to the surrounding hills. Each of the rooms is beautifully furnished, with stylish modern bathrooms complimenting antique furniture and the feature fireplaces. Sink into your deluxe super-king or king-sized bed after a day wandering around the local villages or exploring the Peak District National Park. In the morning, breakfast is served using the finest locally sourced produce and the fresh Spring Water comes directly from the Manor’s own well.
Choose from the relaxing atmosphere of the Botanical Room and enjoy the views of Holmleigh Manor’s woods from the bathtub. Or, if you’re feeling a little decadent, celebrate the Georgian passion for oriental style with the Chinoiserie Room. On the other side of the house, you'll find the Village View rooms, the new Revolution Room and the Georgian Room. The latter is a quirky take on the traditional, decorated with vintage finds and locally produced fabrics, as well as the Manor’s oldest fireplace.
The pretty village of Netherthong is located in the heart of the scenic Holme Valley. At just a short walk from the historic town of Holmfirth and a five-minute drive from the Peak District National Park, the area is popular with walkers, cyclists and those looking for a rural base to enjoy Yorkshire.
