You will find the imposing Hesdin Hall on the outskirts of the village of Chapmanslade in the depths of the beautiful Wiltshire countryside. Sleeping up to 24 guests, this home is a charming mixture of traditional features and quirky interiors which will provide an amazing location for groups of friends or family to gather to celebrate a special occasion or just to escape to for an unforgettable break.
You will be spoiled for choice when it comes to spaces for entertaining. The quirkily named ‘Weird Room’ is a lovely area where you can come together with friends over a cocktail and enjoy the nostalgia of an old-school gramophone. A toasty open fire, contemporary artwork and comfortable seating in tranquil, pastel colours invite conversation and relaxation. If you fancy a film, the cinema snug area is always open, and no ticket is required. Just bring the popcorn, settle back on the sofas and enjoy the show. Maybe sports and games are more your thing? The property now has three games rooms! One with a pool table, one with airhockey and foosball and then one with an xBox and lots of arcade games. Xbox games provided.
The modern kitchen, in pretty pastel blue, further extends the light, airy living space with a large island unit perfect for communal cooking and chatting. There's also a large butcher’s block preparation area and every appliance and amenity you could need to cater for your guests. Then serve up your culinary feast in style in the positively palatial dining room which seats 20 in a glass-built conservatory extension providing masses of natural light and a beautiful backdrop for entertaining.
Eight pretty ensuite bedrooms are set on the two upper floors, each elegantly decorated in a mix of floral pastel hues and mixing original features such as wooden beamed ceilings with contemporary art and sumptuous fabrics. The ambience is of restfulness and tranquility and will provide the perfect place to escape to at the end of an evening’s socialising.
Outdoors you will find a traditional walled garden, beyond which are 20 acres of secluded private land where you can spot deer, alpacas, goats and chickens, a delight for any animal lovers. A 10-metre heated pool also awaits you here or make use of the loungers and watch the fun with a chilled drink. A hot tub is also on hand for more relaxed water-based fun and you can also take advantage of the pizza oven or BBQ if you fancy moving your dining alfresco.
If you can bear to leave your luxurious base, the local village of Chapmanslade is close by and the towns of Frome, and Warminster with their shops, pubs and restaurants are a short drive away. The historic city of Bath is also within easy reach.
