The rather modest looking exterior of this timber clad cottage most definitely belies its exquisite interior. Helgon Lodge is a superb, spacious, single storey cottage that offers cleverly crafted contemporary charm throughout. The Scandi-style interior with pale wooden hand crafted furniture and colourful furnishings will certainly impress as will the luxury bathrooms and stunning kitchen.
The well-equipped and comfortable living quarters offer a very warm welcome at any time of year. The light-filled and sociable living area overlooks the pretty courtyard garden and the whole house offers subtle and refined luxury throughout.
The stunning modern kitchen is entirely bespoke, with hand made contemporary pale wooden units, as well as a fridge/freezer, electric cooker, microwave and dishwasher. To the side of the kitchen, there is a separate dining area with a beautiful oak dining table and six high backed chairs perfect for enjoying a light lunch or a laid back breakfast.
The sitting area is colourful and modern and is a relaxing space in which to enjoy the wall mounted TV and DVD player while you recline on the C-shaped sofa that can easily accommodate up to 7 people. There are a further two leather armchairs and even a very handy quiet space with desk, ideal if you need to catch up with work while you are away.
In the Lodge you will find three really good sized bedrooms, a king size, a double and a twin. As you would expect from a property of this quality , all of the bedrooms are designed and finished to a very high standard. The master bedroom is bright and airy, and has it’s very own ensuite shower room with modern fittings, a double shower and quality linens that would usually expect to find in a top notch hotel.
The double and twin bedrooms are also beautifully decorated and furnished to a high standard, with great care taken to choose textiles and fabrics that complement the ongoing ambience of the house. Whichever bedroom you sleep in, you will not be disappointed.
Helgon Lodge has a beautiful west facing garden that is totally enclosed and a real sun trap for catching those warm Norfolk rays. For the little ones, there is a small children's play area in the garden with a Wendy house and sandpit to keep them happy.
Conveniently situated just a few minutes' walk away from the heart of the village Weybourne, you are within a stones throw of a well-stocked village store, and the popular Ship Inn which serves quality pub food all day long.
The beach and the coastal path are just a fifteen minute walk from the Lodge, or you can take a quick two minute drive down to the beach car park. Just a little further along the coastline are the coastal villages of Cromer, Blakeney, Cley and Wells, as well as some outstanding centres for wildlife and birdwatchers.
If you feel the need to leave this charming idyll, you can explore further down the coast to the pretty town of Sheringham just three miles to the West, or continue onwards to the historic market town of Holt, a great place for shopping or browsing around the many art and crafts galleries.
