Sparkling with a rustic charm, this restored farmhouse has excellent modern facilities and is perfect for a wholesome country break. Set in the heart of the Lake District, it has far-reaching views over the area’s spectacular natural fells and valleys. With room for up to 18 across three magnificent properties and surrounded by gated private fields of just under 20 acres, the farmhouse has space for all of the family and has plenty of opportunity for tranquil days and outdoor adventures.
The main Hause Hall farmhouse has been restored to an exceptional standard making the most of its fabulous traditional features and its spectacular country views. The grade II-listed building is home to five spacious double bedrooms and has a stunning sun room amongst its spacious living areas. With wonderful features, including beamed ceilings, a cast iron fireplace and traditional oak furniture, the rooms have a truly superior feel whilst retaining their down-to-earth character.
Across the traditional stone terrace, there is also an additional restored barn and stables which can be hired for those extra guests with space for up to a further eight in comfort.
The location of the properties is ideal for anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing country spot. Set halfway up Hallin Fell in Martindale, the area is one of the one most secluded in the Lake District and has no end of idyllic walks and hikes to enjoy. A hike around the serene Lake Ullswater has been cited as one of the most beautiful walks in the area and starts just at the bottom of your fell.
For further adventures, there is an array of outdoor activities to enjoy including sailing, canoeing, pony trekking, cycling and quad biking. For lazy days, you can even treat yourself to a wonderful Michelin-starred meal at the Sharrow Bay hotel just a mile up the road. So whether you want a fun-filled day of hearty walks and adventure, or a chilled out day of great country food, this charming farmhouse has something for you all.
