You’ll find the newly renovated farm buildings which make up Foxhills luxury retreat in a private complex consisting of four acres of landscaped gardens. The elevated hilltop location provides the former threshing barn, which dates back to 1798, with unparalleled views over the surrounding countryside from every room in the house. If you are looking for a location where you can gather a large group of friends or family together for that special celebration, or just to enjoy an unforgettable break, this could be the perfect place for you.
Both the Barn and Stables boast impressive open plan farmhouse style kitchens which are made for entertaining. They are fully equipped with cooker, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, coffee machine, pots, pans, cutlery and glasses and feature oak dining tables and sociable kitchen bars, ideal for those pre-dinner drinks.
The lounge areas in both buildings feature rustic beams, exposed brickwork and are great open-plan entertaining spaces where you can chill out with your guests in front of the 49-inch SmartTV. Both rooms boast sofa beds for extra guests and the Barn enjoys a cosy log burner to curl up in front of on the cosy seating.
You’ll find three double bedrooms in each building, some of which are ensuite, some of which feature TVs, but all offer an exceptional level of luxury and are light, bright and spacious with characterful features such as exposed brick walls, beautiful vaulted ceilings and impressive apex windows. Whichever one you choose you will be guaranteed stylish décor, elegant furnishings and an awe-inspiring view.
The modern bathroom on the first floor features a large bath and rainfall shower and has been designed from slate with luxury in mind. Fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries add to the spa-like experience.
Outside, you’ll have four acres of ground to explore. Dine alfresco on the patio in the flower garden enjoying the infinity-style views or luxuriate in the Lay-Z-Spa hot tub with a chilled drink. Maybe pick some organic produce from the vegetable patch or take a stroll across the amenity field and make friends with the horses and sheep. You’ll have no end of walking routes where you can look out for pheasants, squirrels, owls, red kites, buzzards and of course barn cats.
Although the barn is set in a private and secluded location, it is only five minutes away from the local village and amenities which include shops, cafes and pubs. Within a 30-minute drive from the barn you will also find activities such as the Bierkeller and River Trent Party Boat in Nottingham City Centre, along with the castle and caves to explore or Go Ape in the treetops of Sherwood Forest. Visit the beach and try rapids, kayaking or paddleboarding at the National Watersports Centre. If you prefer dry land, you'll also find mini golf, rock climbing and Archery.
