Sitting on the grounds of an old monastic sanctuary, this fabulous Georgian Home offers groups of up to 14 guests a truly remarkable stay in the stunning Stirlingshire countryside. From the outside, this home is grand and striking, sitting atop a grassy hill overlooking sprawling grounds, and once you step inside, you’ll love the opulent interiors that harken back to a time gone by.
When you arrive, you will want to drop your bags off in your room and head to one of the fabulous social spots to unwind with your loved ones. Gather in the living room, with its high ceilings, chandelier and wood burning fireplace. Here, big windows flood the room with natural light and offer lovely views of the gardens. This is an ideal spot to sit with a drink in hand catching up with loved ones. There’s a second, more cosy and intimate lounge, with another wood-burner and some comfy seating, offering a great location to unwind with a good book.
Fore House also has a superb kitchen that's wonderfully equipped with everything you need to whip up delicious meals for your group. There’s also a huge kitchen island here with barstools so you can sit in comfort with a glass of wine and chat to your loved one as they prepare dinner. Then, when dinner’s ready you can enjoy an epic, social feast in the fantastic dining hall. Here, a grand ornate table seats your entire group and sets the scene for a big celebratory meal. If the sun is shining, you’re also able to make the most of the superb outdoor dining area, which is the ideal place to enjoy a summer lunch. There’s even a third dining option, The Orangery, which seats 14 and is a lovely spot for a summer breakfast.
When the sun is shining, you’ll want to spend your days wandering the grounds of the 450 acre private country estate and socialising in the fresh Stirlingshire air. Guests can also explore four acres of magnificent gardens, including woodland paths filled with rare plants and rhododendrons, leading to a stunning Victorian walled garden. In the walled garden there’s a covered seating area, which is ideal for evening drinks, and a luxurious hot tub, offering you and your loved ones the chance to unwind in style. If you fancy a bit of competition, head to the games room and challenge your friends to a game of table tennis or darts.
When night falls there are seven lovely bedrooms to choose from. The luxurious master bedroom includes a dressing room and ensuite with a bath and standalone shower, as do the elegant Green Room (with a king bed or twin setup), the Blue Toile Room (king bed), and the charming Sewing Room (double bed). The Mustard Room and Attic Twin each offer two single beds and ensuite showers, while the Attic Double features a king size bed and ensuite shower. Most rooms offer a combination of baths and standalone showers, ensuring comfort and flexibility for all guests.
Fore House offers stunning countryside views, from Loch Lomond to the Wallace Monument, and is just a 15-minute walk from Kippen village with gastropubs, shops and cafés. Enjoy clay pigeon shooting at The Bothy, forest cycling, lochside walks or explore Scotland’s whisky and golf heritage. Walkers can roam Broich’s gardens or hike nearby Ben Ledi, while cyclists have access to scenic routes and bike hire. Family fun awaits at Blair Drummond Safari Park, and evenings can end with a tailored whisky tasting by the fire at Broich House.
