This beautiful barn conversion is set on a country estate on the outskirts of the pretty village of Long Marston in North Yorkshire. Surrounded by 3,000 acres of beautiful farmland, this is the perfect spot to switch off from busy everyday life and relax with friends and family.
Step inside the large entrance hall and then through to the huge open-plan living and kitchen area. It’s a beautiful space with high ceilings, oak beams, stone floors and an exposed brick fireplace. The large L-shaped kitchen features granite worktops and a range oven and the island means there’s plenty of space for everyone to pitch in and help prepare dinner. The big kitchen table has room for everyone and is positioned in front of the glass doors overlooking the terrace and the garden beyond. The cosy living area has a huge sofa positioned in front of the log burner and the smart TV. Perfect for cosy evenings in.
Just off the living room is a utility room where you can keep all your outdoor gear and walking boots after long days exploring The Yorkshire Dales. You’ll also find three of the bedrooms on the ground floor. There is a twin room and a double which share a family bathroom and another double room with an ensuite shower room. Upstairs is an ensuite double room with a mezzanine area with seating which makes for a lovely reading nook if you fancy a little time to yourself.
Dovecote Barn has its own private terrace and garden where you can light up the barbecue on sunny summer afternoons. And, if you want an added slice of luxury be sure to go for a dip in the hot tub.
There are beautiful private walks for guests to enjoy through acres of farmland and access to some great cycle routes. If you fancy stretching your legs, The Sun Inn is two miles away in Long Marston or there’s The Tickled Trout which is two and a half miles away. The beautiful Yorkshire Dales and The North York Moors are both easily reached from the house and York is just a seven-mile drive away. There are other great attractions in the local area, such as Castle Howard, Harewood House and Fountains Abbey.
