The detail

This beautiful collection of holiday cottages sits on a private country estate in Lower Wensleydale on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Each cottage sleeps two guests in one super comfy bedroom, and they can all be booked separately, or together allowing you to enjoy a romantic retreat for two, or a group holiday for eight.

Every cottage sits inside a renovated old stable building, and they have all been individually designed, and feature contemporary, stylish interiors. They make use of high ceilings, exposed beams, and beautiful wooden floors giving them a rural feel, however, the carefully selected furnishings and high-end finish, ensure that the cottages have a modern, sleek feel. They also feature gorgeous bathrooms, and well appointed kitchens to ensure that you have all of the amenities and facilities to truly enjoy your stay. Guests at Dalesend Cottages are given complimentary logs for their entire stay, including unlimited heating and hot water from an eco-friendly wood-pellet biomass boiler.

Tack Room Cottage sits on the first floor of the old stable block and has beautiful high ceilings and a stunning interior that incorporates vintage tack such as old leather saddles and bridles. This special cottage has an open plan design that offers the best of everything whether you want to socialise in front of the log fire, or cook up a delicious meal in the modern kitchen. It even has its own private hot tub for added luxury, so you can enjoy a relaxing soak with your friends after a day out having fun. There's also a canopied bed where you can enjoy a fantastic night's sleep or lounge around watching a movie.

Hayloft Cottage is also located on the first floor of the stable, and has another open plan layout. This leaves a connected space throughout, whilst the bedroom and bathroom areas offer plenty of privacy. The double height apex and exposed beams make the whole place feel nice and spacious. Couples on a romantic retreat will love the large bath tub that sits at the foot of the super king size bed, offering an amazing spot for a relaxing soak. There's also a cosy log burner to keep you nice and toasty all-year-round.

Located on the ground floor, Grooms Room’s Cottage has a thoughtful interior design that creates a light and airy feel throughout. The open plan living space is ideal for socialising, and there's a nice fireplace where you can stay cosy on colder days. The window also offer lovely views of your surrounding parkland and the estate beyond.

Head Lad Cottage is the final cottage at Dalesend and sits on the ground floor. Beautiful light floods in to this cosy space from two windows that overlook the stunning parkland all around. This modern, slick space has washed oak flooring and fantastic interior furnishings that are super-comfy and look great. The sitting area has a comfortable leather sofa where you can relax with a bottle of wine or enjoy a movie night in with your loved one.

Lower Wensleydale, where the cottages are located, is often referred to as the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales and the National Park. Therefore, this really is the perfect location for exploring all that the Dales has to offer. There are stunning landscapes and rolling hills, as well as numerous valleys waiting to be explored.

Be sure to visit the picturesque, historic villages, that are home to pretty pubs and quaint eateries. Wensleydale, Swaledale, Coverdale and Arkengarthdale are all easily accessible, whether you want to venture out on foot, on bike or by car.
