The Details...

As featured in both The Guardian and The Times, one of the most exciting new glamping finds of the season!

Crickhowell Cabin is everything a back to nature escape should be; mild, wild adventure coupled with some serious comfort, proper camp fires, gorgeous mountain rivers and plenty of country pubs to explore.
The warmest welcome greets you on arrival from Lily and Dida, the friendliest of pet donkeys, who graze the neighbouring slopes, and are frequently joined by a rescue pony, Comet, for a cheeky carrot or two.

Park up, gasp at the views, then stroll down to the recycled railway cabin, which houses your hand built kitchen, a free standing bath, lashings of hot water and everything you should need to rustle up some local fayre throughout your stay; vintage chic and recycled ingenuity at its finest.

Take a few more steps to explore one of the cosiest log cabins we have seen to date. Hand built from local oak, the interior is a testament to artisan craftsmanship and a solid commitment to treading lightly within the natural environment.

Sheepskin rugs, warm Welsh blankets and log burning stove keep you cosy as toast year round, as well as boiling the water for your morning cuppa!

There is a great plunge pool in the river which flows down below Crickhowell Cabin. As it is all private land you can swim and fish in the river during your stay, as well as chop wood and generally get back to nature. There is a wood store available for you, should you not want to expend quite so much energy.

Set in the Brecon Beacons National Park, you are surrounded by the beautiful Black Mountains, with endless trails directly from the door. Mountain bike hire can be arranged for delivery to the door, or bring your own and storage can be made available.

The local village of Llanbedr has a local pub, which can be reached on foot, with a pretty country lane and riverside trail. Crickhowell is the nearest town with several country pubs, pet friendly, The Bear being the oldest and most popular. For posher nosh, then the Nanty-ffin Inn is worth a trip, as is the Hardwick in Abergavenny.
