This light and airy penthouse home is decorated in clean white with lots of huge glass windows overlooking the curved bay of Fistral Beach and would be ideal for friends or families wanting to take advantage of some of the most popular beaches in Newquay.
The penthouse feels like a home rather than a hotel despite having some very elegant finishing touches. It's a great base to chill out in after a day of adventures and sea air and is perfectly set up for some excellent dinner parties. The kitchen is modern and sleek with a breakfast bar and two high stools where you can sit and keep the designated chef company, and it has everything you could need to whip up a feast or prepare a picnic for a long day out.
There's a rather fabulous glass dining table seating six which is situated right next to a large multifaceted window overlooking the sea. This is a glorious spot to watch a sunset but also a cosy and atmospheric place to witness a storm. You really get a front row seat to the elements with this view. The living area has lots of cosy armchairs dotted around and you can move these to rest in front of the other vast window and watch the ocean for hours on end with a glass of wine or curl up with a good book with the waves undulating in the background. This place is all about the view and if you love the sea you'll be in heaven.
There are three bedrooms, all of which are beautifully decorated in serene pale colours with big cosy beds in two of the rooms and large twin beds in the third. Crisp white linen with touches of colour in the other soft furnishings and cosy fake fur blankets make these rooms very inviting and promise a peaceful night's sleep.
The two bathrooms are of a hotel standard, one with a large walk-in shower and the other a deep tub. There's heated towel rails and soft fluffy towels, perfect after a day swimming or surfing.
You'll be a short three-minute walk from the sandy shores of one of the best surfing beaches in Europe and it doesn't matter whether you're a novice or a show off, because there are surfing schools along the coast ready and willing to get you on that board.
Take advantage of the private terrace with your first cup of the day and make your plans before heading out to explore and play. There are some wonderful walks along the South West Coastal Path and there's an aquarium to visit and golfing options too! Whatever you choose you'll be well placed at the penthouse.
Newquay is the capital of the Cornish surf scene, located on the Atlantic Coast. Fistral Beach is frequently described as one of the best beaches in the world and it's on our doorstep! It hosts the Boardmasters Festival in August and with seven miles of gorgeous beaches there's room for everyone. You might like to visit Porth Joke an area of outstanding wild beauty. As well as nature and sea there are lots of places to eat and drink and what seaside holiday would be complete without Fish and chips at Rick Stein's iconic restaurant in Padstow just a short drive away.
