The Details...

In the Churnet Valley, a sprawling, visually stunning region of rural Staffordshire, The Lodge at Consall Valley is a dreamy country house, reminiscent of a boutique hotel, with sixteen ultra-decadent suites, as well as a range of features designed to leave every guest feeling restored and revitalised. With an elegant aesthetic inside and out, luxury woven into the very fabric of the lodge, and a surrounding area bursting with greenery, dappled sunshine and local history, Consall Valley is a truly special getaway which will remain with you long after youve departed.

Everything on the site has been painstakingly designed or converted to create a once-in-a-lifetime experience where every whim and requirement has been taken care of and nothing is too much trouble. From the lounges well-stocked bar and roaring log fire, look out over the Lodges purpose built lakes. Enjoy a truly exquisite meal at the restaurant, prepared using Longhorn beef from a unique herd reared exclusively for guests at the lodge, and enjoy a deep and replenishing sleep on your very own Hypnos bed after a long day of exploring the grounds and taking full advantage of the lodges amenities.

While each of the suites conforms to the lodges high aesthetic standards, every room is unique, benefiting from an individual personality and design, creating a space which is truly distinguished from the rest of the hotel. All of the suites benefit from flat screen televisions, while super-luxurious toiletries are provided, as well as fluffy white towels and bed linen.

The hotel sits on the original estate of the Pointons, still stewarded by the family and their on-site expert gamekeeper. The forests, meadows and lakes enjoy a spectacular array of wildlife, encompassing mammals, birds, butterflies, fish and flora, and a walk through the estate is a unique experience which many guests find to be a trip highlight.

Fine dining is at the heart of the Consall Valley experience, and the culinary team work closely with local farmers, butchers, and suppliers to ensure that every item on the menu is not only delicious, but also sourced from close by with minimal impact on the environment. Whether youre tucking into a speedy breakfast before heading out to explore the local environment or sitting down to a more formal 25 person celebratory dinner, you can be assured that mealtimes at Consall Valley are a real treat.

For day trips, head to The Roaches, a wind-carved stone structure in the Peak District National Park, or RSPB Coombes Valley Nature Reserve for extraordinary and unique birds. For family-friendly leisure, head to Alton Towers or the ever popular Heights of Abraham, opened since the 1780s and featuring a cable car system with incredible views. Go Ape is also nearby.
