A real hidden gem of a property, this beautifully converted 18th century chapel house sits on the edge of a millstream in the pretty quayside village of Bosham, West Sussex. The spacious home comfortably accommodates up to five guests, making it the perfect coastal getaway for families or friends.
The historic grade II listed chapel has been thoughtfully renovated and transformed into a stunning holiday home, full of nautical-inspired décor and quirky curiosities that make it wonderfully unique. The lavish interior consists of three themed rooms, Saloon, Port and Starboard.
Downstairs is the Saloon, a large open-plan living area with a warm and welcoming lounge, lots of comfy seating and a 55” smart TV with Netflix (ideal for keeping up with the latest series). It’s also where you’ll find the contemporary kitchen, fully equipped with modern appliances, spacious worktops and a large central island, as well as the dining table where guests can enjoy meals together.
A staircase leads to the galleried landing and the two ensuite bedrooms, Port and Starboard. Starboard, the master bedroom, has been stylishly decorated and features a luxurious super king bed. Its ensuite bathroom has a spa bath with jet streams and relaxing salts, and a walk-in shower. Port can be made up as a super king or twin beds and also has an ensuite with a walk-in shower. Both beds are fitted with premium White Company bed linen.
The Chapel is able to accommodate a fifth person on the sofa bed on the landing for a small additional fee, although this bed is not suitable for young children as the landing is open to the stairs.
A stable door at the back of the house leads to the decking area, a real highlight of the property. Overlooking the pretty millstream, it is a lovely spot for alfresco dining or relaxing with a glass of your favourite tipple.
The vibrant yet relaxed village of Bosham, located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is a popular destination amongst artists and photographers for its idyllic scenery. There are many things to see and do for all ages in the area, including gorgeous coastal walks, discovering Goodwood's Festival of Speed and visiting Petworth House, home to a renowned National Trust art collection.
Bosham is home to some traditional pubs and there are some fantastic restaurants nearby. If you want some variety, the city of Chichester is a 15-minute drive away and boasts a generous selection of shops, bars and eateries, as well as a fabulous theatre and of course, the cathedral.
Over the summer months bookings are preferred Mon- Fri , Fri- Mon . Or full weeks.
