A beautiful traditional country hall. Rolling hills, Quaint market towns. Easy reach of the Lake District.
The 17th century Cazenovia Hall offers traditional luxuries with modern conveniences in this fabulous setting near the Lake District. The hall offers wonderful views of the Lakeland fells and is just a mile to the quaint village of Greystoke. It puts you in the perfect spot to enjoy days filled with long walks over breathtaking hills and around stunning lakes where you can indulge your passion for country air, horse riding, kayaking or mountain biking.
The hall enjoys a perfect position within the secluded grounds of the Grade I listed Blencowe Hall estate. It comes furnished to the high standard that one would expect of a cottage that has recently achieved a five-star Gold Award and has 4 en-suite bedrooms. Of the four bedrooms, one comes with a super kingsize bed, two with kingsize beds - one of which can be set-up as twins, and one with two twin beds. You’ll find each en-suite room is bright and lightly decorated with oak floors and beams and open sandstone walls that add a certain country-finesse, while the kitchen is simply divine; open plan and double height with oak beams crisscrossing the ceiling - it opens out into a large dining area and into a glass conservatory and comes with a full stock of luxury appliances including a four-oven Aga, a gas hob, an electric oven and a huge American-style fridge/freezer.. The large living area is built around an open fireplace and has French doors that open out on to the exquisite views of the countryside, and while the bathrooms are crisp and modern.
Cazenovia Hall comes equipped with all the luxuries of a high-end resort but provides you with the convenience and privacy of a private countryside rental. The combination of luxurious and homely living spaces with the wide-open spaces of the Lake District make this a perfect choice for families. Though the hall is perfectly suited to walkers and those who come in search of a customisable experience that’s close to all the wonders of the Lake District and nearby towns like Windermere and Grasmere. The small village of Greystoke is the closest to the hall and is home to a beautiful collection of 17th century cottages, a welcoming country pub serving great food called The Boot and Shoe, an award winning village green and the historic 17th century market cross which was used to mark the position of a weekly market and fayre. If you feel in the mood for a little fine dining then we suggest a visit to Windermere for some of the North’s most favoured Michelin starred restaurants.
