The Details...

A stay at Camp Baboon throws in a few extras you wouldnt get anywhere else. Situated at the Wild Place Project conservation park, around 20 minutes north of Bristol, the camps cosy en suite cabins offer the chance to experience all sorts of adventures in the company of giraffes, zebras and, of course, baboons.

The camp itself consists of ten wooden cabins, each one heated and well equipped for a comfortable stay. Each cabin can accommodate up to four guests, featuring a double bed and a full-size bunk bed.

While each cabin is slightly different in design, they all have similar amenities and make smart use of the space available. They are also located close to the parks baboon area, hence the name. Inside, you have a living area with facilities to make hot drinks and a table and chairs, and outside theres space on the deck to sit down and enjoy the fresh air.

Each log cabin also includes its own toilet, sink and a rainfall shower in a modern, wood-panelled bathroom. The cabins get plenty of natural light, with blinds for keeping it out when required. All the cabins are centred on a communal area with more seating. There is also free parking available throughout your stay.

As a guest at Camp Baboon, you will be looked after by their guest services team and enjoy free entry to the Wild Place Project on your day of arrival and departure. Theres lots more too, in the form of guided evening and morning tours which will educate you about the animal inhabitants and even give you the chance to feed them breakfast.

Speaking of which, you can also enjoy a continental breakfast in the parks Courtyard Caf, followed by a visit to the giraffe house before it opens to the public. Dinner courtesy of the onsite chef and the opportunity to learn some bushcraft skills are also included as part of the experience, along with free tickets to Bristol Zoo Gardens.

Camp Baboon is just over seven miles from the centre of Bristol.so its easy to enjoy this culturally exciting city as part of your trip. From the SS Great Britain and Clifton Suspension Bridge to a myriad of galleries, museums, live music venues and waterfront bars and restaurants, you wont be short of options.
