The Details

The Woodland Cabin is a peaceful retreat for two that sits on the edge of a picturesque private wood in Somerset overlooking rolling countryside. With huge windows flooding the interior with natural light and offering delightful views, you’ll always feel perfectly connected with your beautiful surroundings. Ideal for solo travellers, but perfect for couples on a romantic break, the cabin also features a private wood-fired hot tub for indulgent starlit soaks.

When you arrive, you’ll love your location in a private wood, which ensures there is no through traffic, so you can unwind in peace. Inside, the cabin, which was created by the master craftsmen, Arthur Lynch, has a simple but stylish interior, with lots of exposed wood and an abundance of natural light. Get comfy in the armchairs with a nice warm cuppa as you gaze out at your surroundings, planning the day ahead. Head to the kitchen and whip up delicious meals throughout your stay, which you can enjoy inside at the breakfast bar or alfresco in the fresh country air.

Throughout your stay you have plenty of outdoor space including a large patio where you can unwind with a drink in hand and the aforementioned hot tub that’s perfect for a relaxing soak after a day out exploring the local area.

After the hot tub, head back inside to your king size bed that all but guarantees a peaceful night’s sleep. And when the sun comes up, your bed sits in front of huge windows, so you can make a coffee and enjoy a lie-in with a view.

When it comes to exploring the local area, there’s lots to see and do. You’re close to Langport, which makes a lovely base for exploring Somerset. Stroll along the River Parrett, visit the medieval Hanging Chapel, browse artisan shops or try pottery in town. In short drives you can reach the Quantock Hills or the Mendip Hills for walks and views, or head further to Cranborne Chase for chalk downland and quiet lanes. Don’t miss a day trip to Glastonbury, with its Tor and Abbey, or to Wells, England’s smallest city with its stunning cathedral.
