Learn moreSet between the beautiful Cotswolds village of Broadway and the market town of Chipping Campden, Boundary Cottage enjoys spectacular views over the surrounding countryside. The semi-detached cottage, which dates back to the 1800s, is full of charm and character with old wooden beams crisscrossing the ceilings, stone mullion windows and a stone fireplace. Outside, you’ll find a large garden where you can spend sunny afternoons under the pretty pergola while something sizzles away on the barbecue.
The interior has been thoughtfully updated with modern appliances, a smart TV and a stylish bathroom, while retaining all the character of the building. Step inside and you’ll find yourself in the Shaker-style kitchen which is fully-equipped for whipping up anything from a quick slice of toast to a full Sunday lunch. Move through to the cosy living and dining room with a dining table perfectly positioned to enjoy the breath-taking views through the window. The sofa and armchairs are gathered around the wood-burning stove, a great spot to snuggle up in the evenings in front of a film or a board game.
Head upstairs to find the first of the two bedrooms. This is a twin room with a beautiful Cotswold stone wall behind the beds and an original stone mullion window. You’ll find the family bathroom next door with a bath and separate shower, Bramley toiletries and superb views from the window. Another flight of steep stairs leads up to the master bedroom which is located under the eaves. There’s a comfy double bed facing a window with views over Meon Hill and out as far as Stratford-upon-Avon and Coventry.
Boundary Cottage is located near the borders of Warwickshire, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire, hence its name. This means it’s ideally located for exploring the vibrant market towns and pretty villages of the Cotswolds. Bibury, Bourton-on-the-Water, Cheltenham and Stratford-upon-Avon are all close by and make great days out. The Georgian city of Bath with its spa and rooftop pool and the university city of Oxford are both close enough for a day trip. You’re also spoilt for choice when it comes to outdoor activities with plenty of walking, cycling, horse-riding, golfing and fishing to be done.
Boundary Cottage was thrilled to win the Chipping Campden episode of Holiday Homes in the Sun on Monday 4th October 2022. The new Channel 5 travel show hosted by Amanda Lamb, JB Gill and Sam Pinkham follows the trio as they compete against each other to discover the best holiday homes at home and abroad. The episode saw the team explore the quaint north Cotswolds town of Chipping Campden. Boundary Cottage scored a massive 27 out of 30 to be crowned favourite. Just one of the ‘wow factors’ nudging it into the top spot were the incredible views, and host Amanda even went as far to say: “That view is just up there in the top 20 that I’ve ever seen.”
