The detail

From your first glimpse of Belstead House, with its imposing three storey, red brick façade, sweeping drive and neatly manicured front garden, you will know that you are in for a treat. Situated in the charming and fashionable fishing village of Aldeburgh, with its many shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, you are only a short stroll from one of the loveliest pebble beaches on the East Coast.

The light and airy hallway welcomes you in with parquet flooring and soft, neutral colours. The style throughout the home exudes chic elegance; modern yet retaining original features such as fireplaces, high ceilings and sash windows.

The lounge is similarly styled in a neutral colour palette with cosy sofas, a welcoming wood burning stove and a wall mounted flat screen TV. The perfect spot to curl up and enjoy a good book or film. If you need to stay connected, you will find WiFi too.

The kitchen has everything you need to create culinary masterpieces including a double range stove, and there is even an island with seating so that your fellow guests can get in on the action! Or they may just wish to sit with a glass of something nice whilst the designated chef works away. A further large, wooden table with bench seating provides another spot to chat over coffee, and a pair of big double-width patio doors open up the whole room to the secluded garden where you will find a BBQ and another two large tables with plenty of seating on the patio and lawn. Where better to enjoy a cold drink on a sunny day? The adjacent dining room is chic, stylish and furnished with a large, comfortable sofa as well as the dining table for those evenings when you’d rather dine indoors.

The home boasts six double bedrooms, all elegantly furnished with cosy bedding, comfortable armchairs and the same muted, relaxing décor found throughout the house which will ensure you drift off to sleep in style. Three bathrooms provide modern, sleek facilities with showers, dryers, fluffy towels and bathrobes.

If you are tempted away from the timeless pastel promenade of Aldeburgh with its boutiques, galleries, independent book shop, cinema and rightly-renowned fish and chips, you will find centres nearby that offer sailing, horse riding and even llama trekking! A short hop up the coast will take you to the pretty seaside village of Southwold, and the traditional holiday destination of Great Yarmouth is also nearby for a taste of old fashioned kiss-me-quick fun.
