Live the high life at the secluded Foundry Quay, aboard your own luxury, boatel moored in the sparkling Twizzle Creek. Resting amongst the majestic Walton Backwaters in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Lady of the Twizzle is a rare and undiscovered booty. Sip champagne on the sun-kissed deck or stargaze in the hot tub, watching for the seals and gazing at the captivating landscapes. Discover Walton-on-the-Naze and wander on its clifftops or walk amongst the thriving marshlands and secluded, sandy beaches.
The Lady of the Twizzle is a floating maritme retreat, rich in history that has been master- fully transformed into a contemporary holiday hideout. Boasting impressive social areas and four sophisticated en-suite bedrooms, it is a unique retreat with room for up to 14 people.
There’s an open-plan saloon with a slick galley kitchen, along with a cosy living room snug separated by a large portal window. Serve gourmet three-course meals around the formal dinner table or stay up till late on the plump sink-in sofas. Both rooms ooze with a refined sense of grandeur and are finished with dusky blues, muted greys, and chic nautical touches.
Look out for the iconic portal windows and the vintage sailing paintings or the hanging boat anchors and subtle striped furnishings. The sleek designer kitchen is even equipped with state-of-the-art mod-cons and has everything you need for dinner parties.
While away those sunny days basking on the deck, drinking freshly brewed coffee or sunset cocktails. The bubbling 6-seater hot tub is hidden on the private foredeck and is complete with underwater lights.
When you want some time alone, head off in search of your stylish en-suite bedroom, dressed with dreamy double beds and thick fluffy duvets. Choose one of the two soothing doubles or two large family rooms, which are connected to an additional single or comfy bunk bedroom. Wake up refreshed after an uber-relaxed night and wash away the cobwebs with a steaming hot shower.
If you want to disembark and journey on foot, then this part of Essex is beautifully untouched. There are stunning salt marshes that are a haven for birds, along with endless mudflats and the crumbling Red Crag cliffs. Visit the Hamford Water Nature Reserve or go fossil hunting on the beach, having fun on salty Walton pier or on its quaint seaside streets. Bustling Harwich can also be found nearby and is a charming harbour town with a rich maritime history.

Just Wow! What a fabulous experience - we had the most relaxing time, in the most perfect location…The layout of the boat allowed us to have enough space to get ready and the younger sailors had their own space too. The outside area is both comfortable and stylish and the jacuzzi was a bonus. Lucky enough too to experience the delectable treats that Ben from Devils in The Detail had to offer whilst on board. Some amazing memories were made. Peter, Maria and Jodie made every step of our trip a real pleasure - we will definitely return!?

What an amazing boat - we had a fantastic time. The location is absolutely beautiful and peaceful, so calm just the birds. The layout of the boat has been greatly considered and is equipped for large number catering. Everything spotlessly clean. The outside space is great with loads of comfy seating and the jacuzzi a welcome relaxing space. Lots of lovely walks around as well as the beaches and great food1 The owners are super helpful. We definitely recommend a stay here to completely switch off and relax with friends.

Lovely girls' weekend spent on this beautiful restored barge. Everything was spotlessly clean and correspondence with the owner Danny was very friendly. Thankfully M&S was close by to fill up the large American fridge. Really relaxing time but things to do if you wanted to. Looking to booking again with family.
