The Details...

Beckside Barns is a luxury cottage that sleeps up to eight people near beautiful Kendal and on the edge of The Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks. This award winning accommodation boasts luxury interiors and stunning views, with the attention to detail being second to none - which is probably why its been awarded a Visit England 5 star and gold award. It's not just luxury that has won them awards though, it's also been recognised for its excellent green credentials too. Made up from two linked holiday cottages,The Old Forge and The Granary, theres plenty of room to relax in, with two kitchens, two lounges and two dining areas. Perfect for groups or families that need a little more space.

The open-plan living/dining/kitchen areas (one upstairs and one downstairs) are all beautifully put together with elegant polished sage limestone floors throughout. The living areas both have luxurious leather sofas, stylish Morso wood burning stoves and 46 LED TVs with Blu-ray and DAB media players. Both make excellent spaces for evenings in with the family - with plenty of games to choose from.

The larger of the two dining options is upstairs - here there is a table that easily seats up to ten people. And with large windows framing the incredible Cumbrian landscape beyond, its a fabulous setting for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Two kitchens means that you will never get crowded when it comes to the cooking. Both are immaculate with fabulous granite worktops, characterful butler sinks and bespoke wooden units. And youll be pleased to hear that the mod cons are all top-of-the-range too, with induction hobs, integrated double ovens, dishwashers and washer/dryers.

There are four bedrooms - one king, one double and two twins. All are wonderfully calm spaces with luxe white linen, cosy textiles and elegant oak furniture. Add to this beautifully dressed windows and stunning views that cannot fail to impress.

The two bathrooms are as sleek and stylish as youd expect, with large walk-in showers, baths and fluffy white towels provided as standard.

Outside youll be delighted to discover a traditional slated oak canopy that runs alongside the cottage. With chairs and tables provided, its a glorious spot to appreciate the well manicured gardens of the Hyning Estate. And in the summer months you can hire a Weber BBQ so you can enjoy the pleasure of al-fresco dinner in these dazzling surroundings.

Located near the town of Kendal, and on the edge of The Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks, means that there is lots to do in the immediate surroundings. Digital maps detailing the best walks and cycle routes of the area are available to download from the Hyning Estate to a handheld GPS or mobile app - so no more getting lost. And once the daily exertions are done, youll be pleased to hear that there are plenty of fine pubs and restaurants to discover in the local area.
