These two beautiful apartments, ‘Home on the Strand’ and ‘Loft on the Strand’ are located on the edge of the historic town of Rye. Spend your days exploring the medieval town, head to the beach or go for spectacular windswept walks in the nature reserve, before relaxing back at your cosy apartment. Whether you’re looking for a family escape or a romantic retreat, there’s an option for you.
Home on the Strand is the perfect choice if you’re travelling as a family or a small group of friends. This bright, duplex apartment has two cosy double bedrooms, one of which can be made up as a twin if you prefer. Downstairs, you’ll find the fully-equipped kitchen and large living area which opens out onto a south-facing garden, perfect for a bit of alfresco dining in the summer. The big comfy sofa is welcome after a busy day exploring Rye and the nearby Camber Sands, or enjoy a long hot bath in the family bathroom upstairs.
Loft on the Strand is a gorgeous little retreat for couples, decorated in relaxing blue tones in a contemporary style. This top floor apartment has stunning views over Rye which you can enjoy with your morning coffee from the breakfast bar under the kitchen window. The kitchen and living area are flooded with natural light during the day and the sloping ceilings create a cosy little hideaway in the evenings. In the bedroom, you’ll find a luxurious Nectar sleep mattress complete with French linen waiting for you. Through the bedroom, you’ll find the ensuite shower room.
The apartments are just a short walk from the town centre and close to the station. Wander through the pretty cobbled streets to discover the many independent shops and restaurants. The delightfully crooked streets are a jumble of half-timbered houses and hidden passageways. The town is just a ten-minute drive from Camber Sands with its five miles of beautiful sandy beaches and dunes. It’s also easily accessible by bike or on foot. There are plenty of scenic walks in the area where you can discover the delights of the nature reserve, catch a glimpse of France from the Fire hills or visit the ancient sunken forest at Pett Levels. Wander back to Rye for a hearty pub lunch at The Standard or the Globe Inn, or a steaming mug of hot chocolate at Knoops.
