Discover the very essence of laidback island life at this boutique beachside hotel on New Zealand’s Waiheke Isle. With just seven luxurious rooms hidden beside the sea, it is the ultimate romantic hideaway where dreams really can come true. If you picture vintage beach huts opening beside the sands and whitewashed lighthouses overlooking the sea you’ll have a glimpse of what life will hold at this unique, island retreat.

The seven designer rooms are each perfectly unique with a sophisticated, nautical theme that will appeal to the nostalgia within. Three charming white boat sheds sit beautifully on the grounds with louvered shutters opening over the decking which leads to the sands. A super king size bed and open fire sit within along with deluxe furnishings and little trinkets to remind you of the sea. A stunning Bridge Room is also similarly styled and has a privileged position up high above the grounds.

Two spacious bungalow suites sit within the gardens and offer an exquisite beach chic style and an elegant coastal vibe. Luxurious bedrooms and sea-view sitting areas are filled with timeless designs while outside seating areas are perfect for feeling the warm sea breeze pass you by.

A captivating three-storey lighthouse finishes the boutique accommodation and is a real treat for the imagination. Driftwood steps lead up to the storybook, whitewashed exterior, before a spiral staircase leads you up the tower. A day room at the top even has a magnificent, private terrace where you can watch the boats sail off into the distance.

The hotel is designed with utter privacy in mind and gives couples the chance to truly unwind. Indulgent spa treatments can be enjoyed in the comfort of your room along with a glass of wine or some gourmet food. Fresh seafood and organic home-grown produce is part of the laidback dining experience which can also be enjoyed beneath the stars in private spots around the grounds.

Waiheke Island is an idyllic place full of lush vineyards, rolling hills and white sandy beaches. Just 35 minutes on boat from New Zealand’s Auckland town, it is the place where romance and recovery will come to you in bounds. The beautiful sands of Oneroa Beach are right on your doorstep, while coastal walks can lead you to secluded, sparkling coves. Oneroa town is also just a five minute stroll away where there are a quirky selection of beach-side bars, seafood restaurants and art galleries to be found.
