Nestled deep in the King Edward VIII Wood in Norfolk lies this cleverly converted shepherd’s Hut. Whoa Stop! offers the ultimate in tranquility and privacy, yet proves that getting away from it all doesn't mean giving up on great design and luxury.
While this abode offers fabulous features throughout, you can't help but be impressed by the bath! Situated in the veranda of the property, the double ended, heated tub is just right for a soak under the stars. It's not just the unique outdoor bathing facilities that make Whoa Stop such a wonderful place to be either. Everything from a cosy kingsize bed, to a flushing toilet, a fire pit and an outdoor kitchen turn this basic hut in something really quite impressive.
The internal dimensions may be compact by your every whim has been catered for. Open plan living makes for cosy accommodation. The king size bed in the sleeping area is dressed in purple and grey to compliment the wood panelled decor, and is draped with soft and sumptuous bedding to help you will drift of into a sweet sleep.
A two seater sofa provides the perfect place to look up and watch the TV, or warm up in front of the wood burner. The compact kitchen area comes complete with a gas hob and sink, and with granite work surfaces and grey shaker cabinets, it is as good as any kitchen you would find in a luxury apartment.
Step on through to the bathroom where you will find a large shower, WC, wash hand basin, illuminated mirror and an electric towel rail. Luxury modern conveniences that any shepherd would be proud of.
Outside is where Whoa Stop! really comes to life. The bath is perfect for star gazing with your loved one, and the well-equipped outdoor kitchen is perfect for preparing a light snack or pouring a glass of champagne, or two. Step out of the bath, pull up a comfy chair and dry off in front of the gas fire pit, then finish off the evening with a Twilight Hamper full of tempting delights such as marshmallows, popcorn, chocolate sauce and hot chocolate, which can be ordered from the owners on arrival should you wish.
When you awake, enjoy your first brew of the day on the veranda watching the red deer graze. With the adjacent land owned by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust there is plenty of opportunities to see birds and wildlife too, so don’t forget to bring your binoculars.
If you like a walk in the morning, then the sunrise is beautiful over Thompson's Lake just a mile away. Set in 32 acres, you will be surrounded by rolling countryside and plenty of Norfolk wildlife. You can even walk your dog around here too, provided they are kept on a lead.
If you want to bring your horse on holiday, then the owners offer a horse package too! For £25 per horse per night, this includes access to a 20m x 40m all weather surface arena, 12ft x 12ft stable, turn-out pen, bale of shavings, running water, electric lights and fence. They also offer optional escorted hacks, although the latter are at additional cost.
If you can bear to tear yourself away from your luxury hut, then there is a good pub in the village of Thompson which is in walking distance, where you can enjoy local ales and good food.
