Surrounded by olive groves and large, beautiful gardens of its own, the elegant Villa de’ Michelangioli lies close to Foiano della Chiana in Italy’s Arezzo province. This central location puts many of the country’s great cities within reach, and offers a tranquil setting for this very special villa, complete with outdoor pool and impressive dining terrace.

The house has been restored and maintained in a way that retains its original character, and furnished with ornate antique furnishings. Perhaps the most special feature of all is the vast outdoor space the villa offers, with plenty of room to relax on a sun lounger beside the lengthy pool, enjoy a walk in the gardens or hold an occasion dinner under the verandah – kept cool by sliding glass doors.

There are more seating areas out on the lawn, and a gazebo which is ideal for less formal dining. The 12m x 6m pool outside is complemented by another inside, a heated pool with countercurrent swim system, hydromassage function and sauna.

On the ground floor, you have the lounge with bar and fireplace, another ample dining area and a professional kitchen, all adding to this property’s highly exclusive atmosphere.

One of the eight bedrooms is also located on the ground floor, while the others are located on the first and second floors, accessible either by the staircase or lift. All bedrooms offer satellite TV, a safe and fridge bar, while some are suites with their own sitting room, fireplace and hydromassage bath.

The property is equipped with internet access and is air-conditioned throughout. With a maximum capacity of 18 guests, the house is also equipped with a generous 11 bathrooms. Among the other treats you can look forward to is a welcome basket with wine, pasta and other local favourites.

You will be just 5km away from the restaurants and shops of Foiano della Chiana, a small town full of Etruscan and Roman history, itself around 30 minutes’ drive from Arezzo. The town is known for its spectacular carnival – the oldest in the country, beginning in 1539. With Perugia and Siena accessible in around 45 minutes, and Florence just over an hour away, there is no limit to the cultural discoveries you can make during your unforgettable stay at Villa de’ Michelangioli.
